Last time I was seriously looking at another 10mm I'd seen a glock 20sf and was thinking about getting it...and didnt.

Glad I didnt! I ended up with a Glock 40 for about 750$ out the door... Which isn't a screaming deal or anything but Hey, it's a longslide! :) I'm really excited to have it!

I sat down and took it apart, oiled it and installed a zev connector from a "starter" spring set ( but none of the springs... I didnt like the idea of a lighter striker spring, and the trigger spring Seems pretty stiff. Safety spring was crunchy feeling... So I basically ended up with a connector ) and I like where it's at now. Sort of feels like a two stage trigger, you pull it under some tension, it hits a point ( and softly clicks) and a wee little farther it breaks. I seem to be able to keep the sights well aligned with this trigger. I'm working on getting a set of suppressor sights put on and then it's getting an RMR for it!

I hope to get it out to shoot soon, even with just the base sights. I think I'm going to enjoy this!

Congrats.  Longslide is next on my handgun list.

I have a 1076, recent purchase and I'm already shopping for my second 10mm.  G20  OR  G40. I hope you like yours.

Mines been great so far. Put in a lighter safety plunger and ghost connector. Shoots great. What was your first 10mm?

My first was A Para Longslide Hunter... Love that thing :) Its over all my single favorite pistol! Wish they would have been able to keep making them :(

I'm still trying to decide if I'd rather have a "dual illumination" RMR or an battery powered Led model for my Model 40.

I looked at both also for mine and ended up going with the RMR06. The other I found would wash out some in some lighting situations. The RMR06 is manually adjustable and can also automatically adjust, which I've found to work really better then expected.

They're a little rich for my blood right now, but if I got one, I'd get the the dual illuminated one.

I'm leaning toward an RM-09 since the smaller dot will work better for my eyes ( astigmatism sucks :/ )

Interestingly enough I found a company called Dara Holsters that makes a holster not just for the glock 20, but also does one SPECIFICALLY for the Glock 40...and in left hand draw! With an RMR cut :D I ordered one so as soon as I get it I'll let everyone know how it fits and works...

Dara holsters are great. I have one for my Glock 29 with Viridian Laser/Light. The cool thing is that they do a lot of custom options.
I really really like it. But, I don't think they are as comfortable as the crossbreed style holsters. (They are smaller however)

Wow, talk about covering a niche market!!!!! Glock 40, Lefty, RMR. No production cost economies of scale for that target audience. My GSSF renewal coupon is on its way and  I'm gonna get me a Glock 40.

Love my G40. It has a Trijicon RMR and it's a great combination.
