Good show.  A guy on another forum was trash talking him.  So, I ordered two boxes of Nugent 10mm and thanked the OP for the reminder.

Not a fan of Ted anymore. The guy has been busted so many times for hunting violations. He used bait to lure in a deer in CA, killed it, then never got his deer tag signed by a game warden. The deer was also not of legal antler requirements, but that charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement. All of that turned into 11 misdemeanor charges. Then he shot two bears in Alaska even though he only had one bear tag. (Federal violations) He never accepted responsibility for his actions. His statement was "my staff should have told me the rules." I call bullshit. I'm a hunter. I read the rule book. I learned the regulations.  Nothing pisses me off more than people who poach animals, even by mistake. This makes hunters look bad, gun owners look bad and it hurts our cause. When non-hunters and anti-gun types see Ted Nugent, they think all hunters and gun owners are redneck morons that can't read. It does nobody any good to have people like that represent us.

Lastly, my main reason for disliking Ted, is that he owns and operates that ranch that is completely fenced in (Sunrize Acres). The animals have no chance to escape, and he lets people hunt there for a fee. The "fair chase" aspect of hunting is removed and it just becomes killing. That kind of "hunting" if you can call it that makes me sick.

Ted Nugent has no ethical standard, no hunting morals, and gives real hunters a bad reputation that anti-hunters and anti-gun types use as ammunition against us.

Grim Reaper, I see your point of view and understand it well.  I suppose money has a way of making up for short falls...Given his schedule and tours, I can imagine he pays people to arrange special hunts and attend to the details.
I understand his ranch and I can see where raising the animals for food is like any other cows, pigs, etc.  While it may not be as challenging as normal true hunting conditions, it is what is going on everywhere, be it a lease for hunting clubs, ranch for hunters who pay a fee to hunt.  It's to the point if you're no in a club or lease, you may not get to hunt at all or there are so many nuckle heads roamng the limited public lands you can get shot.  Quite frankly I don't blame Ted for providing a place for himself and family or friends to hunt, there would be paparazzi lurking around to disturb the hunt or be in harms way.

I know locally all the timber land has been leased out so if you're not a memeber its trespassing!
At this point and the way the world is going, I wish I had the means or money to aquire enough land to do the very same thing.  Keeping the unwanted people, drug labs or growers, poachers & undiesireable animals out!

REDLINE

I get the arguement both ways regarding Ted.  All in all though I see him as a decent and ethical person.  Has he made mistakes?  SURE!  Do you know someone that is perfect?  I don't either, without a doubt including myself.

Imagine what we would think of a lot of people if all the details of their life came to light.  Ted is A-Okay in my book.  Plus my DVR is set to record all of Ted's shows on TV.  I see what he says regularly and have for quite some time now.  And based on that alone which adds up to quite a bit of public exposure during many different scenarios, IMO, Ted is a pretty decent individual, even if his high-on-life attitude is a bit much for some.

Just another man's opinion.  Carry on.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Uncle Ted is a real person, real people make mistakes. Taken as a whole, I like Ted and appreciate all he does in support of our sport.

I want to plant a seed and I would like for you to remember one thing.
None of us know the man on a personal basis, Correct?
Everything we hear is negative about him and conserning these news reports. (This is the part everyone needs to think on) By and large all our news agencys are a liberals mouth piece. Ted doesn't much like Liberals and liberals dispize Ted Nugent. What positive things have you EVER read about the mans daily life? I cannot remember the last thing I herd and I LIKE THE MAN!!

You dont still believe all what you read...do ya? ;)

Ted is a great profundity advocate. Some research will show some the issues you that people hammer him for are just misinformation. Great spokes person for gun rights and the 2nd Amended. Say what you will make that man president gotta be 1000 times better than what we have today.
