Yes very nice post 45BBH, the weak link is the case head of the 40 and it needs to be respected and supported.

It is why I had invested in the Bar-Sto 40S&W conversion barrel early on for my S&W1006.  Man, I wish I would have bought others and more of them...I still hold on to the glimmer of hope for BM1 to be able to finish those S&W  barrels he had started.

Wow those HST's are really coming apart at 10mm velocities.

That's interesting.  I have been loading 180 grain HST's to 1250 fps for about a year now. In all my testing through different medias, I have yet had one come apart at these velocities.  Even in water jugs they seem to hold together fairly well and water is about the most extreme media one can test a bullet in.

Here's an old video I remember. Not bad at all. I would buy these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrXoG4N7ySI

I went through the long process to properly send my idea for them to make a 200gr Gold Dot and HST just for the 10mm. Federal and Speer are owned by ATK.

If they get enough requests they may do it. we should all contact federal with the 10mm hst request and get our friends to contact them to.
