Here is a review of the SIG 220 in the 'Hunter' guise.  Superb!

Yes, I am looking for the SA/DA version. Before I made my mind up to buy one there were a number of them on GB, Tombstone and Bud's. A week later they were all gone :(

I've yet to see one on Bud's, but don't look there regularly. I do look regularly on GB. The holidays probably purchased them all. Be patient. They'll be back. Before Obama can stop the sale.

There was one tonight on GB, I jumped on it, should have it in a week or less. Range report afterwards :)

So I picked up the Sig on Saturday, but likely won't have a chance to shoot it until next weekend. In the meantime:

I have to say this is even nicer than I had thought it was. It is heavy but extremely well made. I'm really looking forward to shooting it.

You will enjoy it, 600 rounds and not a problem

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to shooting it this week, it should be a hoot.

I want.

So our local range is undergoing construction for drainage and that won't be finished until the end of the month, and in addition it is damn cold and windy for Florida today. So I put a target up in the backyard and put 8 warm 180's downrange. WooHoo, this Sig is going to be fun. A great addition to my 20, 29, DE and RIA. Recoil was moderate but totally manageable and the sights are slightly to the left, but well centered on the vertical axis at 25 yards. A more complete range report in a couple weeks I guess.

Does anyone know what recoil spring they ship with (how many pounds)?

Thanks!

Where ya at in Florida? I keep seeing more 10mm guys in fl. Perhaps we should all meet up at a range some day.

Have had my Sig Match Elite Two-Tone SA/DA since Oct & it may be the most comfortable & accurate pistol that I own. I also have an older Colt Delta  & a great Para Elite Hunter long-slide which is phenomenal. I hope that for future 10mm shooters that Remington will offer the E-Hunter, but have no idea as to what their future plans with the Para brand hold...

I hit up Bruce Gray to see if he has any information on the 4.4" model. Sig has gone dead silent on this version. I hope it's not canceled.

In my experience soa only guns almost always have nicer triggers than their da/sa brethren. That being said I'm sure either will serve you quite well. It is a Sig after all.

My Sig and I went shooting today, first time at the range but we have had some trigger time in the yard.

Unfortunately there are no Cabela's in Florida.

What part of Florida are you in?  If in the Eastern Central Florida area Florida Gun Exchange usually has a DA/SA P220 in 10mm in stock, the single action only are hard to come by unless you are looking for the hunter model.  FGE is usually the cheapest around and if they aren't they also price match... Even online if the item is in stock.
