Killing me.  Resisting the urge.  There is a gun store near me that had one....

Yep...just checked.  NIB 25 minutes from me.

The Elite Match or Hunter will be my gun purchase this year!

Naaa. Shelve that project and get the Hunter for now  ;D

Well finally got to take out the Hunter for its first range date.  I ran about 150 rounds of mixed factory ammo: Armscor, Sig and PPU.  All feed without a hitch.  The Sig grouped the best, followed by PPU.  The only issue I encountered was the slide engaging when I fed a new magazine.  It occurred when I fed the new mag firmly.  When I fed it softly, it would stay locked back, as it should.  Being new to Tanfos, I'm not sure if this is typical?

Intercooler

I'm trying to follow what's happening. So slide is locked back waiting for a fresh magazine... you slam it up in there and the slide goes into battery?

sqlbullet

Sounds like physics.  The resting inertia of the slide stop overcomes the friction holding it in place when you slam a mag home.

Reverendpdp

Exactly.  Slide goes into battery when new mag is inserted.  It's not something any of my other guns do.  They have to be racked  to go into battery.
Never having owned a Witness, I'm not sure if this is by design?

Intercooler

It's for sure not. Exactly how hard are you putting them in? Make sure your stop is fully pushed in.

I would say I insert it firmly, but not overly hard.  Just enough to seat it.  Insert all the way in. Then tap firmly.
FWIW, it only occurs with a loaded mag.

Yes I could but I just dropped it off at the smith to get an optic installed.  Probably 4-6 weeks before I see it again. :(

Intercooler

Oh. You didn't want to put the CMore on it and put the optic on that?

Reverendpdp

Decided to go with a Leupold Deltapoint Pro.  The smith is aching a base that will fit the existing dovetail so as to not cut into the frame...
Not good??
