I just watched two reviews on Gunblast.com

I watched both the Sig P220 (in 10mm) and the Republic Forge Custom 6" slide/barrel 10mm Auto self-loading pistol. The Republic Forge is a hand-built, one-at-a time manufactured, self-loading, single-action 1911-pattern pistol. Price? $3395.

If you go to Gunblast, you can get your "ultimate 10mm fix" in a darned hurry! You'll fall in LOVE!

I know I did!

Price of the SIG is just way out of touch in my opinion. I also am very concerned about durability of that particular gun. I just wonder if it can handle a steady diet of heavy 10mm loads. I shoot my 10s I mean I shot them allot like in the thousands of rounds.

Sorry I have a dry/AR-15.com sense of humor. I knew it wasn't a hyperlink.

There was a post by bruce gray with grayguns (the father of the p220 10mm) where he posted that the last test with the final production version was to run 5 thousand rounds of a combo of the hottest buffalo bore and underwood, and another 5,000 of sigs own hot loaded test rounds, sig factory ammo, and regularly available 10mm. Final verdict. Unbelievable lack of wear given what they put it through.

Here is the post.

From looking at the one I just got, I would think it would take thousands of rounds to wear this gun out. I think it would be as strong as a 1911 if not more.
