9 x 25 in a 1911 platform

I fit a 9 x 25 Dillon barrel to my Colt Delta Elite and while it is fairly accurate it has feeding problems as in the bullet going straight into the feed ramp. I tried it in my factory Colt mags and even tried a Chip McCormick style follower and nothing worked. What say you experts?

If you are willing to possibly munge a mag, try shortening the feed lips.

Steve.........Be careful with your situation as that can cause a bullet setback if not noticed or if the bullet to case neck tension is not at its optimum.  What sqlbullet mentions could be part of the problem.  That said, the angle at which the cartridge sits in the top magazine could be suspect.

What ammo are you working with?  Commercial? or your own handloads?

I am very aware about set back with this and my 357 Sig, believe me I check it. I used this barrel in one of my other 1911's for several years (don't have that one now). I'll check out the link and see if there is any relative info. The bullets (125 gr flat point and and an XTP bullet (weight?) are hanging up believe it or not half way up the barrels feed ramp.

My Para had this issue with certain mags, but not others.  The ones that didn't have the issue had much shorter feed lips.

Best option would be a good 1911 smith that has experience with feeding bottleneck cartridges.  those are probably rare.

My advice is purely anecdotal, but may work.
