I shot an original H&K once.  (local field agent had it at the range practicing)  very accurate at 50-100 yards even with iron sights.
Totally useless on full auto, even on two shot burst.  They set it up with a real slow rate of fire, (around 450 rpm) the second shot went off at peak of recoil from the first, so it was always an, x-ring / miss over the shoulder, on a full size B-27 target, even at 15 yards. I remember thinking at the time how much better it would be if they increased the rpm to about 900-1K.  Or decreased it to around 300 like the old grease gun.

I always thought a semi-auto version would be cool.  Hmm...now...how to come up with that much disposable income. :o

An SBR like that would give me a "woodie".

Oh, yeah!

Nice for nostalgia sake.

But it seems to me an AR-45 pattern lower with a DI upper with an SBR stamp + a can would be far, far more modern.  Better trigger, better rail and accessory options. And cheaper.

Oh Ya! This or a Dakota Tactical would be the shit!
Roller locks just plain rock! $3,000.00++ is a lot of coin though. Why I opted for the TD carbine in 10mm with Glock
mags.

I had one built from a demilled HK MP5 40S&W using a Michaels Machine 10mm barrel.  I pick it up today!  My test ammo is 500 rounds of Remington 180gr MC.  Once I'm satisfied that it runs right I will try some hotter reloads.
