Really putting the pressure on me now  :o

The 9mm version, but still a positive sign that all the others will be following!

Yes looks like ceracoat. Bummer on the no hard chrome.

Intercooler

That's some cheddar for it too! I thought I would go for one in the $1400 range, but $1900 is too much for a 9mm.

Dave84

Thing says no reserve. Make an offer on it.

Intercooler

Minimum bid starts at $1879. Too rich for my blood!

Intercooler

It's up for sale a second time. I guess they might realize that many won't pay this for it!

I followed three links from the original auction.

I guess they aren't taking the hint that no one is going to pay that price.  Or maybe they assembled it from Tanfoglio parts from EAA...That would explain why it is so much:D

sstewart

EAA doesn't import a six-inch 9 mm slide. If this was a 45 or 10 mm I would think this could be custom from parts like intercooler did.

I was just poking fun at EAA's exorbitant parts prices :P

Intercooler

In 9mm I wonder what the intended use is? Many of the 9mm rounds out there don't really gain in a 6" barrel.

sqlbullet

Race gun foundation I would guess.  That extra weight is going to make a 9mm shoot like a Ruger Mk III

Intercooler

This just keeps getting better! On top of the color not matching advertised, now someone who took delivery of a .40 unit didn't get the slide cuts. Like the main thing that seperates this from a Hunter!

sqlbullet

The removal of material from the slide would be to give the gun a faster cycle time.  The increased impulse of 40 S&W ammo may make the un-modified slide cycle just as fast, and removing material may have caused bolt over base feed issues if the slide velocity were too high.

I would not automatically assume this was just a cost saving move on this .40.  If I were the buyer though I would be calling to ask them to clarify why the slide was not modified as in the photos.

I'm honestly pretty happy I passed on this one. I really like my home-built unit!
