I don't know what the factory Glock tolerances are... but my guess it's a "CYA" thing for some reason.

I was/am pretty sure if the other manufacturers say it's OK.. why wouldn't theirs? I am also pretty sure they know the other manufacturers answer...

No doubt, it's a CYA. KKM said the same thing a while ago. Then, someone at KKM actually tried one, and gave it the okie-dokie. You may be surprised what they don't know. I'm not a fan of SL barrels, in any case, so it's all chatter to me.

I am no fanboy of SL either, it's what I could find, years ago, when I needed it. That said, in my 20, it's been flawless. I cut the living crap out of my trigger finger a couple weeks ago, it's just about to the point where I can grip well and feel with it, so hopefully in the next couple days, I can go find out if it's going to blow up or not.. LOL.

Have shot several hundred reloads and factory through my SL G20 6" with no problems what so ever.  Have also put a couple hundred through a LW G20 10 to 40 conversion barrel with no problems.

I ordered a 6" barrel from KKM for my Model 40.  It was sold as a M40 barrel.  It is supposed to be here Monday.

I actually have better luck with KKM.  You will like it.
