I just received a 250 round box of these to see how my Kimber will shoot them. I would like to use them for deer hunting. If a black bear comes by wonder if it would be enough bullet? I hear that double tap had Nosler to make them up for them so they would have a tough bullet that holds together. Why do you all think?

I don't know the answer, but I bought 4 boxes of them a while back when Nosler.com had them on sale.  Haven't loaded any up yet...

Would hope so... I carry the 200g XTPs ( hand loaded very warm ) when on the AT trail down in VA.
But then again, those black bears tend to be on the smaller size

The Nosler bullet appears to have a slightly thinner jacket than the Hornady XTP.  I think that the Nosler would perform but shots would need to be well placed and more that one for small bears, large bears may absorb even more hits before succumbing to the trauma.

I have used the XTP on deer and they do well.
