Wow!  As the article reads he had a lot of time (what seemed like a lot of time), good thing their training kicked in and they did not hesitate to take him down.  I'm not a LEO either, but they get two thumbs up from me!

Here is a unfortunate incident that occured in N.C. domestic matter. Ex girlfiend of thug sought a CCW permit and completed 8 hr firing course by state law. ex beau made contact with her and she shot him, striking leg. No vitals hit or bone. Pistol jammed and she dropped it and ran. He chased and shot her in head. Sad outcome. www.thetruthaboutguns.com
