I am overjoyed that Texas wants it's physical gold bullion back to Texas in it's own depository once built. Back from the corrupt Fdd Reserve in Manhattan. Its actually Univ of Texas Endowment for Academics investment fund. Non the less requesting and getting are two different things. They see the ongoing fraud and corruption. Also a fan of Hedge Fund investor Kyle Bass.

Consider Tarrant County (the FW side of D/FW).   Moved here from Dallas County about 8 years ago and was the best move I've made in the last 25 years.  Besides, the western side of the county is closer to Arizona.   

traffic can be a tough one depending on where you life/work - but no where near as bad as Dallas!

Anectdotal, not fact.  Start with INRIX, or just about any other traffic survey.  You'll find that Houston traffic consistently ranks higher than Dallas.

President Bush moved to a liberal area called Dallas.

Well crap, maybe I should move back then considering I've made all my previous decisions based on what President Bush did.  SMH     Appreciate the conservatives in NY statistic though.  Very relevant in this conversation... I guess.

I moved to Texas from PA almost 12 years ago and I'm settling in and getting used to the heat! Much more gun friendly state than PA and they've just recently passed an open carry law. A local car dealer is giving away guns this weekend with the purchase of new vehicles this weekend too. Only in Texas!

Moved to the Military City (San Antonio) 17 years ago. Best Big little city in Texas. Hill country is 15 minutes away. Reasonable housing and some great opportunities and the Best people in Texas. Hot in the summer but cooler than Dallas or Houston. Winter temps are cool. No snow, or income taxes. Open Carry Jan1 2016. Most of the libs live in Austin and Houston the rest are conservative. Hill  Country land is available. Desert in the west, Plains in the North , wooded in the South and Hills and Forest in the Center. The republic of Texas is waiting, You won't regret it.
