Out of 14 shooters, I was the loner with the G-29. Scored 179 out of a possible 180 points. 35 hits in the center ring and one flyer. Thought I nailed it, couldn't see the the one outside the group from the 15 yard line. Walking back to the target, there was a hole low and left. Dang it! Oh well thats how that one went. Still happy with the score. Fired 150 rounds total for the course.

My state allows CCW without a permit. I will be RVing for six months and that's the only reason I got one. Something I never would have done otherwise.
But, I have to say it was time and money well spent just for the training.
Learned alot from the instructor and would like to take some advanced courses.

I always thought classes were for people who couldn't figure it out for themselves or gunfighter wannabes. That was a total misconception.
Found I had some bad habits.
One was not getting the gun back on target after the shot. Another was the wrong grip on spare mags during reloads. There were others, nothing safety related.
The instructor said the first day that training can become an addiction.
He was right, it left me wanting more.

Glad you had a good experience.  I have never come away from a training without learning something.  The good ones like you had I learn via positive interaction with the instructor and other students.  I have experienced one or two where I learned what not to do by watching it done ;)

Know the feeling of being the only one with a 10mm.Out of 100 in dept,im the only one who qualified with a 10 for off duty.I still get that strange look and question"what is that".A great day at training for you, priceless.

Glad to hear you did so well and learned something new! Not many states left that allow you to carry without a ccw/chl, one of the things I miss about Vermont.

Congrats Wilhelm!  Thanks for the report and for your honesty about learning new things. :)

Congrats on the good training.  That G29 should go far in keeping you safe against deadly threats!
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.
