We just received a notification from our Sig Sauer rep that they are releasing a 1911 TACOPS chambered in 10mm! Dealers are able to start entering orders now and we have an order in place.
The TACOPS is one of Sig's most popular 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP so it makes a lot of sense that this is the first one that we are hearing about in 10mm. Sig entered the 10mm market back in January with the introduction of the P220 chambered in 10mm and they released SKU's for both ball ammo and their premium defense loads, Elite V-Crown, in 10mm.

Given that this is so new I wouldn't expect to see anything before quarter 3 of this year. We have added the SKU to our website so that you can enter your email to be notified when they are received and available for sale.

Great!... but I don't like rails on a 1911

I'll take one, rails and all! :)

I'll take one if they do the buy a 1911 and get a 1911-22 free deal. Beyond that I'll stick with my rock island. ;D

We know.  Take the hint.  1911's are awesome! :P   :-*

I am not a huge fan of rails either, but this should be one solid 1911. Adjustable sights, Nitron finish, MSRP on the 45 ACP model of $1250 ish.  Looks like the 45 ACP version can be had for around $900.  This will be a great option between the RIA and Dan Wesson for a solid 1911.

Great news, but I think my next 10mm will be a P220 since I already have a .45 1911 Tacops. IMO Sig makes a great 1911 for the money. I also have a DW Heritage which is awesome but the Sig is right there. Should look kinda like this - I did replace the grips though....

No matter how you slice it, dice it, it will still be a 1911 to me!  Chambered in 10mm is cool, if it has a great chamber and reliability factor.  However the cartridge capacity leaves a bit of disappointment.  The rails I don't have to have, sort of a crutch for the "techno geeks" wanting to hang gadgets on their firearms.

I think I would opt for the SIG P220 before I pop for the 1911 creation by them... ::)

Told my buddy about this, his response.

They can't do solid qa now or for that matter even get items announced over a year ago out the door. But by all means they should keep announcing stuff and putting too much on their plate.

It is nice.  I already have a couple 10mm 1911s.  Para had that LE hunter with adjustable sights, ramped barrel, 6 inch slide/barrel plus a rail.  That looked interesting plus you could put a green LASER on the rail maybe.  Not sure if that gun will make it to a Remington model now that Para is gone.

I have been wanting a 1911 in 10mm. I will give it some consideration. Supported chamber?

I am sure it will be a ramped barrel with good support.
