This is my first Glock, I've never so much as held a Glock before buying this G29 and I know very little about these pistols in general. I'm looking to upgrade the recoil springs for use with my hotter handloads and I'm a little confused on what exactly I need. I've already purchased an extended length aftermarket barrel and now I'm looking for stiffer recoil springs. I know the gen4 29 has dual recoil springs on a captured guide rod. What I don't know is if I can replace just the springs or do I also need a new guide rod.  If I have to buy a complete rsa does anyone make one that allows me to change the recoil springs  and can I buy one with 21# springs already installed?  Thanks in advance

I have used Wolff springs , non captive assembly - 23 lb in my 29

I have the 3rd gen G-29 and use the 21lb & 23lb sets on their non captive rod.  While Wolff says the springs work for the 4th gen models understand that there is a difference in the slide at the hole where the RSA sits.  There was an adapter that was being used by some of the 4th gen guys.  Not sure what the Wolff company is doing to compensate for the larger hole in the purchase of the slide.  You may want to call and enquire...
The G29 shows a recoil rod for the gen 4 as #50910   GUIDE ROD Set for GLOCK 29,30,36
None shown for the gen 4 G-20.

Good luck... :D

I have the 21 lbs setup from the Glockstore.  It has been running fine on my G29 Gen4 with all the hot loads from Underwood, etc.

The red warning label on the gunsprings website confused me, I thought they didn't have anything for the G29. It wasn't until i re-read it that I realised it didn't include the 4th gen Glock 29 so I ordered a rsa with a 21lb spring and I'm very pleased with it so far. It's an extremely versatile pistol.
