Hello Scorpion from another Louisiana boy, 9.0 IMR800X is good to go, I have used even more but I stop at 9.6 grains with the 180 XTP's because they work in all of my pistols.  Some of the guns can take more if they are great chambers and properly setup!

Here is some study info for you...

I'm loading Starline brass and 180 XTP.  Should I start at 9 grains of 800x, or start around 8 and work up in .2 increments?

Start at 8. 9.1 grains gave pressure symptoms in my testing.

Tater,
What signs were you noticing?  Gun that gave signs?  I was using a G20 with KKM barrel and a G29 stock barrel and the case expansion at 9.0 grains was very little on Starline brass (both guns were lower than 0.430").  I ask for information only as I definitely do not want to push too hard, but did like the results at 9.0 grains...
