Blue dot
Be86 (not used myself)
800x (needs hand weigh)

Will work
Tite group (ok plinking, fast , can double charge because charge weight is small so powder cop etc. Good idea)

Some others on here too, others will advise

I mainline Blue Dot and Unique.  Blue Dot gives near max velocities, and Unique is economical for plinking.  Plus, there are recipes for about every caliber with those two powders.

I have also used Longshot, AA#9 and Power Pistol with OK results.

All of these have worked for me in 10mm (except Power Pistol that I haven't opened yet).. Each has strengths and weaknesses. Generally (lots of ways to argue about this) in the order of most useful...

Accurate no. 7
Blue Dot
Longshot
Accurate no. 9
Power Pistol (on my bench waiting to test)
WSF
Silhouette
Accurate no. 5
Unique
800-X

There are some VV powders in the proper burn speed, but I have no personal experience with them.

I noticed that www.cabelas.com has AA #7 this morning in 1 lbs canisters, if you're willing to pay the hazmat fees...

I'll have to check cabelas this afternoon. To see what they got. I try to stick to powders that use less volume so that my pound goes farther.  I have some hp38 and 800x. Gotta pull some cause my scale got bumped mid way through and now I'm paranoid. Thanks allot guys this helps me a lot.

It's nice since cabelas opened in green bay. Now it's not a two hour drive to go looking

Ive only used Longshot.  I have AA#9 and Bluedot.  I was using those in the 44 Mag when I had that.  May just have to give those other a try if/when I cannot find Longshot.

I just scored some BE-86. Not much data on it. Sounds like a good powder. I'm also new to 10mm. Also have some IMR800x.

What I've used:
HP38
Unique
800X
Blue Dot
AA#7
AA#9

The cleanest I think was the HP38. The dirtiest was the Unique. The most I can reload with a 1 pound can is with the Unique. I am using Blue Dot right now because I got a 4 pound can of it. HP38 is kind of hard to find right now. I haven't seen an 8 pound jug of it available since Obozo got himself re-elected.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

I have been using BE-86, Longshot, and 800X.  With book values on 800X I was not that impressed, but I upped the charge just a little (with lower charges I got much higher ES and SD - if that matters?) and had some great results this weekend, downside is that I think it needs to be hand weighed as it does not seem to meter well...  Was not too difficult for me as I was using a RCBS Chargemaster Duo.

First on my list is 800x.  No powder delivers higher velocity at lower pressure.  MUST hand measure (of Chargemaster).

Second is Longshot.  It is about perfect in burn speed and meters much better than 800x.

CFE Pistol.  It does quite well.

I use some Pistol Power and BE-86.  The bang for the buck is very good.  Burn speed is a bit fast for 10mm, but its bulky enough to avoid a possible double charge.  They are still able to deliver decent velocity.

I've never used AA7, AA9, Not a fan of BlueDot, but never loaded it in 10mm.

I'm loading Starline brass and 180 XTP.  Should I start at 9 grains of 800x, or start around 8 and work up in .2 increments?

Hello Scorpion from another Louisiana boy, 9.0 IMR800X is good to go, I have used even more but I stop at 9.6 grains with the 180 XTP's because they work in all of my pistols.  Some of the guns can take more if they are great chambers and properly setup!

Here is some study info for you...
