I quit smoking cold turkey January 1985 and drinking, although I will partake of an occasional alcoholic beverage...
BTW the money I saved by not smoking saved enough to buy a few more guns!  ;)

Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico L40 would be a nice, classy, option. Or better yet: the Feral Fling Pig! Oh man. Talk about a grand experience. What kind of tobacconists do you have available in your area?

Shadow;

You are no fun - giving up BOTH cigars and alcohol  :))

Centimeter;

We have some very high-end places here along with the usual suspects of the local tobacconists.  I tried the Liga Privada and was quite impressed.  Very strong and rich, pretty much up my alley.  I just have to try more to have it get on my, "short list."

By the way, for those who have the means and interest I can tell you how I buy (safely) my Cubans if interested

I'd like to know where you're finding Cubans at a reasonable price.

They are not reasonably priced, just market price.  Email me offline and I can provide the details.

Excellent cigars! Been smoking for 42 years but have cut back a lot the last ten. Have one every ten days to two weeks now.

Have smoked all you mentioned. The Bolivars are excellent!  Davidoffs... I pass on them.

My Cuban preference is a Montecristo #2 or  a Cohiba Robusto. A Montecristo #4 is very good as well.

I was just given a sealed box of Cohiba Genios Maduro Robustos as a gift. Nice smoke.

With all said... I would choose the Padron Anniversarios 1926 without any hesitation. The Padrons have better quality and consistency than any current Cubans.

I love Padrons... maduro or regular wrapper! They're the best cigar in the U.S. Even better than the Fuente Opus X.

I'd recommend the Padrons!   I'd also recommend getting their belicoso size.

Enjoy!

+1 on the Montecristo #2's and anything Padron, especially the Anniversario Series '26 or '64.

Great thread!
