I have become a fan of the 10mm. No idea what it took me so long.

Wanting to add a 10mm to the growing collection.

Here is the list of what I have been looking at and would value your opinions.

Kimber Custom TLE II. OTD is $950.00.

Kimber Stainless II. OTD $995.00.

EAA Witness Elite Limited. OTD $1110.00.

Dan Wesson Razorback. OTD $1389.00.

Good clean S & W 1006.

Possibly the Sig P220. I have a 220 in a .45 and it has always been superb. There aren't many out there right now, but really liking the looks of the SAO version.

Have no idea on what the 1006 is like to own.

I know what I will get in a Kimber and DW, but have no idea on the EAA in terms of after purchase service if needed.

Any of those on your list would be fine choice, but I must admit I too am intrigued with the Sig 220.

If you go with kimber I'd go with stainless the tle's finish is not durable (I have one)
If you go with s&w think about parts/mags if you have issues
Dan Wesson No complaints
Witness elite I want one
Sig I will wait for others to find out how it is.

EAA's service sucks.

But I can't remember the last time someone had an issue with one of the Elite guns from EAA.  They are pretty solid.

I would certainly not discount RIA offerings were I looking at a 10mm 1911.  They have had a few bumps, but mostly with the commander size, and they have a good service rep here.

Own a 5" RIA.

Guess the bumps occur with this size as well. Mine is back for service after a grand total of 10 shots, with as many FTF's through several different metalform mags, and slide getting locked up because the reserve plug spun 30* and wedged itself into the slide. Hope it comes back running right.

I have both the ria fs and ms as they call them and my fs was worse but I'd take either over my Tle.
