It actually came out really easily. Unsurprisingly, water is an excellent solvent for sugar. I just hosed all the big chunks off like you see in the video, then wiped it with some paper towels, hung it out to dry, and lubricated lightly with Breakfree.

That "Heavy Water"  2H2O, deuterium oxide...  must have had a lot to do with the clean up!
