Wyoming Parker

Is anyone familiar with Wyoming Parker 10mm. Are they good guns, POS or the such.  I know the company is closed, so I would assume there is no customer service anymore.  I seen one on Gunbroker for $399, but I dont know much about them, and google didnt help me much.

They are great guns if you are a 10mm enthusiast and want to fully document all firearms chambered in 10mm.

If you want a gun to shoot, not so much.

I'm surprised The_Shadow hasn't weighed in on this......as IIRC, he's never had an issue with his.

it's a 7" model (it may be more durable than previously thought). I would lay odds that it would need polishing of the internals to be reliable. At the current price of $750.00 it would be a crapshoot.

I bought one back in about 1990 and it was a fairly decent pistol, the internals could stand some polishing, accuracy was pretty decent, mine was undersprung (easy fix). You had to make sure you seated the small guide rod or it would batter it's base. Grip seemed like it was smaller at the bottom which gave the impression of the grip being tapered. The front strap needed checkering or something to give it more grip (mine was smooth front and back). Would I buy another, yes. I think the Company was sold a few time before it disappeared. I think Laser Aim owned it at one time.

Sad. I liked the design, but apparently they had a lot of QC issues (heat treating problems, slide breakage and the like). I'd like to see what would happen with a 7" model if you had a good one.
