Special request for the 200Gr Gold Dot

The 200 grain Gold Dot was a contract run that was made for the 40S&W and the bullets were never sold as components to the public that I know of.  Many of those contrat cartridges were pulled down and the pulled bullets were sold by RMR a while back. 

Speer statement about

sales drives the market, they were not sold in sufficient quantities to justify continued offering of the product.  Sorry.

doesn't hold much value in my notes, because they were never shown in any of the Speer loading manuals and none were being sold via the various suppliers that I know of.

Like I said before more is geared towards the 40S&W and not as much toward true 10mm performance.

I am/was aware of Vista Outdoor Inc; just hadn't seen anybody mentioning receiving a response.  And despite the "bad" news about the GD, it was nice to receive the reply.

What's the benefit of the GD's versus the Nosler 200 grain? Or the hornady 200 grain XTP.

The sad thing is that speer lists a 40s&w 200gr gold dot load in their law enforcement line. I wish they would release the component to us reloaders as well!

I would rather cast my 200 grainers with the proper alloy from my MiHec mould. The issue with large organizations or companies they are in business for one reason and one reason only. Profit it sustains thier existence. Production quantities talk. How about just going to Hawk for special run of thier 200 grain softer allow and .035" Soft jacket ?
