Special request for the 200Gr Gold Dot

This evening I wrote Speer this special request...If we don't ask we will not ever see...

There are many 10mm enthusiast to which that list is growing daily, and as such we would welcome a 0.400" 200 grain Gold Dot to satisfy our needs for this weight bullet for true 10mm performance for the handloaders. Our  interest would be in the performance range of 1150 fps to 1300 fps.
It seems the Gold Dot 200 grain was produced once before in a contract run of 40S&W ammo.
So we ask Speer for consideration in producing a true 10mm Gold Dot in the 200 grain weight.  Many of us have driven other 200 grain JHP's offerings in the 1200 fps to 1250 fps performance from the 4.75" and 5" pistols chambered for the 10mm cartridge.  What is lacking is the 200 grain JHP from Speer in the form of the Gold Dot for its bonded construction.
Speer has many great products and I use many of them and even recommend them almost daily.
In closing please give some consideration as I am quite sure even the commercial ammo loaders such as Underwood, Buffalo Bore and Double Tap etc will also consider adding these to their line of ammo if they were available.

200 gr GDHP at 1300 fps would be a 750 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle, BEAST.  That would be a ManBearPig load.

I wish Nosler would bring back their 170 gr. bullets.  They were by far, the most accurate in any of my handloads, especially in my Delta.

That would be awesome. I would like them to at least make it available as a component. Asking for loaded ammo is good, but it involves R&D costs for them and they'll need reassurance that they will see the ROI they want. Presumably, all the tooling exists for the 200 gr Gold Dot bullet so to produce them, there is only opportunity cost, which can be offset easily by charging a premium for that component in case it doesn't move as quickly. They can reduce the opportunity cost by making a small run to test the market.

I think he means actual loaded ammunition, not bullets for reloading.

Yes SAM, sort of the same answer many of us got.  Also there has been some changes at the Speer & associated companies as they have a new company name...that may also explain some of the issues getting products out to the shelves.

Vista Outdoor Inc. new company name for the products like  Alliant Powder, Cébé, Champion Targets, BLACKHAWK!, Bollé, Final Approach, Gold Tip Arrows, Hoppe's, Outers, Primos, RCBS, Serengeti, Speer, Uncle Mike's, and Weaver Optics. ... CCI was previously known as the Speer Ammunition.

One thing I noticed about Nosler bullets when doing the pull-downs, is that their bullets measure just shy of the 0.400", with many being 0.3995" and some at 0.3990"     However there are some that do make the 0.4000" mark.

Typically bullets with the longer, straight sides tend to be more accurate.  Hornady has always been accurate for me and the Speer Gold Dots do well.

Speer should bring back a 10mm Gold dot load. I know I shot one years (maybe decades) ago. It was a friend of a friend's 1006 with either 180 or 200 grain Gold Dots.

The 200 grain Gold Dot was a contract run that was made for the 40S&W and the bullets were never sold as components to the public that I know of.  Many of those contrat cartridges were pulled down and the pulled bullets were sold by RMR a while back.

doesn't hold much value in my notes, because they were never shown in any of the Speer loading manuals and none were being sold via the various suppliers that I know of.
