I managed to pick up several calibers but the major find was 357Sig 235 pieces of SPEER nickel plated casings.  :D
I had deprimed all of them, because the flash hole are very small on the SPEER and CCI 357Sig brass.  Don't know why they are not the same as normal sized flash holes other than to give better back pressure control or just mess with handloaders.

Anyway, I drilled out all of them, to the normal sized .078", not my first time doing this, I have a procedure that works to make this go fast and easier.  Doing them when I first get them helps to never have one go through the press with a smaller hole which can break the decapping pins... ::)

Also scored some 250 45ACP, about 500 9mm, some 40S&W too...Its nice to be able to get back on the range again to shoot and pick stuff up!

Yes I do shoot the 357Sig, from my Glock 29 with a LWD conversion barrel, will probably get a conversion for my G-20 as well.  Still waiting on the conversion barrels for my S&W 1006 and 1076 to be finished although that may take some time. ???

All 235 are prepped (polished, pass-thru sized, sized and derimed, case necks expanded) ready to load...

Yeah, I just decapped over 1000 Speer 357 SIG. I went through about 5 decapping pins on me Lee universal deprimer. Fortunately I had about that many spare ones.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

One of my best days at the range I looked down on the ground in front of me, and scarfed up over 50 .45 Colt and over 50 .454 Casull, along with about 500 .357 Mag, and who knows how much .357 SIG,  .40 cal, .45 ACP, and 9mm.

On a side note is breaking their pins normal? I broke 3 Lee pins in my last session.

SPEER and CCI 357Sig brass have very small flash holes, they are what caused my first Lee Decapper pin to break.  Other than the smaller flash hole these are great brass.

Since then I ONLY hand deprime, using a special decapping pin I made from a deck screw ground to a smaller diameter to just fit inside the flash hole, then I go drill them out to the standard size.  Problem solved!

Nope, I only broke them if I
a. Accidentally tried to decap a Berdan Primer (Happens a lot, I have 18 guns that fire 7.62X54R, 3 that fire .303 Brit, 2 that fire 7.5 Swiss, 2 that fire 7.62X25,and one that fires 7.62X39)
b. The case was not sitting in the shellholder correctly
c. Was decapping Speer 357 SIG cases

This is one reason why I ditched Lee de-capping and sizing dies. The de-capping system was frustrating. Ask me how I know the exact little drawer at the LGS where they keep the spare Lee de-capping pins?

Two wrenches to secure the de-capping stem. Too loose, and it gives way with crimped or tight primers. Tight enough and the dang things bend with crimped primers. Or if the flash hole is too tight, the pin will just pull right out.

Went to RCBS and have not been happier.

Congrats on the find! Thankfully, my range has a lot of big matches, so brass can be found by the hundreds. That is especially true of 9, 45, 40 and 223. Rarely, though, do I come across any 10mm. Sig is even rarer. I would bet < 100 pieces ever.

Must be shooters done like to pick up brass in cold weather!

I had SAME thing last two trips!!  Nothing great caliber wise. But lots of 380, 9, 40, 45 and 38 stupid. Just few 357 & 44 mags too.

Aww too bad. I just traded away about 300 .380 ACP cases for some .45 ACP cases. :P

And no, I only have like about 4 left!

What a score! Congrats!!

Most of the ranges around here prohibit the recovering of others' brass.  >:(

In fact last weekend, at the public range, one of the safety volunteers accused me of picking up other's brass...then I showed him I was the only one shooting 357sig.  ???
Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!
