The 29 is a fine gun, very good at concealing and still packs a punch.  I recently picked up a Gen4 29 and it shoots great, so good really that I felt that I'd have to work at not shooting a tight group.
That's a fine group.  My 1911 groups look like that.  When shooting Glocks, not so much.

Just curious, why the SF vs. a Gen 4?

Too many issues with the GEN4 guns.  ;)

Got a couple things in the mail today. :)

I second that about the Gen 4. Haven't yet had a chance to take it to a class and really run it through its paces but the first 750 I've put through it since getting it last fall have been perfect, even shooting weak-sauce Freedom Munitions all the way through Underwood. Even with the stock recoil setup and magazine followers numbered 2, 3, and 4. It's not stuttered at all.

Also (since I forgot earlier): Congrats on the sweet piece, CW! I'm curious to see how you like it after your first few experiences with it.

I have read a few times about spring issues and them being over sprung as well as the grip...funky to me.

Shot it twice so far. Like it more each time... First shots where over a bag at 50 yards... shot OK.. will do better as I shoot it more.

Next trip or two I need to start some 5-7 yard exercises. Not to mention different loadings. After some more trigger time I can start carrying. so far, 80 or so rounds it a 100%.

I have some pierce finger grips coming as well as a couple extra mags.

Shooting the Winchester Silvertip loads in a Glock 29 is very pleasant, accurate and serious defensive power in a small frame gun

Osageid

Very good shooting!! I find the 29 very pleasant to shoot. Even all weights of Undetwood, esp the 200 gr XTP
