I just want more people shooting them so I can get more brass at the range.

Amen.  I have bags of 9mm on my bench cause I don't know anyone who reloads it.  And my 45 ACP and 40 S&W friends love me because I end up with lots of it.  But 10mm....I never pick up 10mm unless I was the one who put it down.

I have never found a 10mm case at the range.

I know one of my ranges I am the only one that shoots it,   I lost about 14 cases one time.  Next time I was in asked if they had any for sale,  he said not many,  when I told him exactly how many I lost he just handed them back to me.      The other range just throws them in a trash can and you buy them by the pound but have to dig threw them.

The 10mm range pick up I used to get was shot by Navy Seals and FBI, fired from MP-5 10mm mostly as they had the fluted chamber marks on them.  Most were Federal brass and many were split mid case.  Since the Home Land Security stuff ramped up I haven't been able to access the range much.

I got a friend at a federal agency,    I keep telling him to get them to change to 10mm.    They just throw the brass away,   I get him to bring me boxes full every now and then.   Mostly 40sw ,223  with a mix of 357sig, 45acp in it.     But for free I will take all he can get me.

Yeah...Free is still good even in calibers you don't shoot.  Even if you just pass it forward that comes back to you at some point.

Well still no 10mm M&P on the horizon...I may have to set sail for a Gen 4 Glock 20! ;D

If S&W made an M&P in 10mm you would literally be able to hear me buying it.

REDLINE

Not to derail the thread, but are there any fundamental differences between:  M&P, XD, and Glock?

I never paid attention to M&P and XD because they don't have a 10mm platform, so I've just never really known.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Hey Redline...I've owned all 3 at various times.  Sold the XDs.  All 3 are striker fired polymer framed double stacks with similar triggers.  All 3 are very reliable and tough as nails if not pretty.  The XD also has a grip safety.  From there the big differences are in ergonomics, grip angle, and bore axis.  IMO the M&P wins in those 3 categories.  I'm sure there are plenty of other technical differences as well, but as a shooter those seem like the big ones to me.

BCDWYO;  Thanks!  In that case, if they would come out with a 10mm platform having at lease some more chamber support at 6 o'clock, sign me up!  And it would be cool if they would time it to have better lockup shooting full power loads (not necessarily "max" power, but the better stuff) compared to the Glock versions.  Yup, in that case I'ld for sure be all over one.

The most important difference:  One of the three makes a 10mm :P

I really like the trigger on the XD's I have shot.  I have very little trigger time on the M&P, and the one I shot was a 9mm, which always seems mild when my normal diet is full power 10mm.

An M&P would be nice.  I could also go for an XD.

I would also love to see S&W bring back the 10XX series.
