Just an FYI, after looking at measurd drawings, I mean REALLY looking at them and not just glancing at them, the 7.62x39 is too short to match the stock length of the 357Herret. It was a good thought, but I want to be able to use the same load tables for both.

Back to the drawing board...

Not to get personal, oh what the with the political correctness; how are feeling and getting along?  Well, or at least better I hope!

Political correctness can bite my ass :P. Thanks for asking Pat.

I am getting along okay. Some days are better than others. Some local members of the Cast Boolets Forum had a get together on Satuday that I took my son to. I got to try out some nice loads for my Ruger American Predator, 130gr TSX, 165gr Sierra SPBT GK, 190gr VLD, 208gr Amax. Everything shot within an inch and a half if I was able to hold steady. Not bad for random book loading. Another gentleman who was there was able to put the 190gr VLD into a 4 shot group of .75 inch at 100 yards.

Also took my Contender out with some 190gr & 210gr cast round nose boolets one of the members had given me to load 2 years ago. My son finally earned the "Tag yourself with a Scope" badge shooting one of the 190gr loads. Sadly I shake even more now than before. I may have to retire the 357Herret and think about something with less than a 14inch barrel for handgun hunting. I really want to take an Elk with it if I can. It is on my bucket list  :D
