357 Herrett.  It is a 30-30 cut back a bit and blown out to 357.

What the heck cartridge is that? Sort of looks like a 7.62X39.

I am looking at adapting the 7.62x39 if I can ever get a hold of some brass cases for experimentation for a Rimless version.

Btw, that is a page of Load Data for the 357 Herrett and the velocities from the 14 inch Contender Barrel it was designed for.

Now you confuse me. Isn't a 7.62X39 ALREADY rimless?
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

357 herrett is a rimmed wildcat based on the 30-30.  Pinsnscrews is looking at creating a rimless 357 herrett using 7.62X39 brass.

Pinsnscrews, there was also a 300 herrett based on 308 brass.  Why not just blow that out to 357?

As you can tell from my lack of posting, things went back down hill again. Appears there is some upper back nerve damage that is causing severe tension in my upper back. This in turn is pulling on my neck. PT twice a week, plus daily exercises makes for a grumpy person. The more tension in my back, the more pressure my neck is putting back on the nerves. Numbness and loss of motor control in my fingers has returned. There isn't any "Pain" with this, so I am not taking any pain killers, but muscle relaxers are not helping in the slightest. The doc is stumped as to what is causing the muscle tension in my upper back.

Not me, I am so allergic to pain. Just had my painkiller dosage upped.....not an easy thing to do with the new rules for hydrocodone.

Do you still need some 762x39 brass? I have some once fired ppu i can let go of(may have ammo still too) will have to dig it out. I sold the gun i got it for and if i shot it out of my ak i would never find it.

Pinsnscrews

Thanks for the offer RW, but I have had to put any and all projects on hold.

That is exactly what i have been dealing with for several years, none of the drs will listen and keep treating me like a junkie after pills. I cannot even get a referral to a pain specialist. Luckily it has a good bit better on its own, its maybe 25% of what it was 4 years ago.
I did have surgery for severe carpal tunnel in both hands but still have moderate numbess and loss of a lot of strength.

Just traded for 139 7.62X39, but always seem to need more. My SKS keeps saying "Feed me, Feed me!).
