Ai yi yi,  can't imagine a little 1 year old girl having to do SIX. 3 was bad enough. It definitely did some kidney damage to me. (AKA decreased function)

Her first chemo was at 5mo old. 1 a month for 6 months. She suffered hearing damage from the chemo and there is still the chance she could end up with Chemo Induced Leukemia. She goes in every 6-8 weeks for continued laser surgery under anesthetic to contain the tumor in her eye. If they can keep it contained until she is older, the trauma and later deformities common with early eye loss will be greatly diminished. She is my hero. She turns 3 on the 18th. She just got her hearing aids that enhance only frequencies she can't hear. We were Facetiming last night and she says "so grampa, you go sleep like I do with the doctor? Okay, they fix you all up and you will feel great tomorrow! Just like I do" She still has no sense of time  :))

Pat, I have learned a lot of patience that I didn't have in August. Any extra I get, will be a Godsend.

Thanks again for all the well wishes.

Surgery went well. Sadly, they wouldn't let me take the IV pain med home with me, but instead gave me a standard oral doasage. So a little more sore than I was before I left the hospital LOL.

Glad to hear it! Hope your recovery is as painless as possible ;)

Well the sooner you are off pain meds and are up and about the better you will be.

That said - way to go!! Good to see you posting.

Yeah, I remember them puttingh me on that morphine pump after my kidney surgery. I was watching that clock and hitting that button the SECOND that I could!
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Very Glad things went well.

If ya would have talked to the nurses a little nicer, they would have given you a six pack to go!  :P
J/K....

Again, glad you're out and home!
Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!

He (the nurse) was not my type :D

Up and about more today. Took outer bandage off and yup, it is a true throat slit. Right to left stopping at my Adams Apple.

I can't grip the slide on my RIA well enough to Rack it right now. Trying to puts too much strain on the muscles in my neck...

I have a call out to a local friend to see if I can borrow one of his guns for EDC.

do you have a glock?  i bought a grip plate that replaces the plate on the back of the slide and no longer need it.  It has a small part that sticks out on each side .Its from ndz, will sell it for what i paid. $25 shipped.

Damn and I just worked up some 225gr loads for my .357 Herret!...

I am going by my friends house to try their Glocks to see if I can pull the slides. He is trying to get his .38 Airweight from his dad back to loan me if I can't manage the slides.

Pinsnscrews, glad the surgery when well and you are recovering.  Be sure to allow yourself the time heal up!

Revolver would be a good choice!  Good luck with the 357 Herret loadings!

225gr Hornady Interlocks over 23gr IMR4227 (IIRC as I don't have the numbers in front of me.)

I still have some of these to shoot  :))

200gr Cast RCBS RN over 34.0gr  IMR4895, compressed loading so thinking she is going to kick like a Mule on Steroids

What the heck cartridge is that? Sort of looks like a 7.62X39.

357 Herrett.  It is a 30-30 cut back a bit and blown out to 357.
