Heard earlier today that Mitch McConnell (sp?) caved on the amnesty issue when they finally had illegal immigration at least temporarily on the run.  My God, grow some 'nads people!

Have NO idea who I will vote for, sure as hell NOT Jeb Bush!

There is a reason why they are now called "The Stupid Party."

I use to be a registered Republican and voted straight Republican in every election. There were only two times I didn't vote Republican: Once was Ross Perot in 1992, and Ralph Nader in 2004. After a few years of Bush #2, I changed my voter registration to independent. I will never again vote for a Republican. I never got anything out of them. Always promises, but nothing was ever delivered. Every year I payed more taxes, and lost rights and freedoms.

Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to illegals.

- legalized illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously with the penalty of a fine, back taxes due, and admission of guilt; candidates were required to prove that they were not guilty of crimes, that they were in the country before January 1, 1982, and that they possessed minimal knowledge about U.S. history, government, and the English language.

Personally if I listen to talk radio it would be Mike Church for me. These days I vote Republican or third party and if it's jeb I'm voting third party. I am tired of our pussyfooting foreign policy if we are not directly threatened stay out it, if we are attacked and under REAL threat obliterate them with awe inspiring overwhelming force not this measured response B.S.

A number of years ago I got rid of the dish, and didn't get an antenna.  I started reading my news online, and in so doing, actually checking sources.  Doing so allows me to actually ask and answer meaningful questions about important topics that before I didn't:

    Something is happing....
    Why is it important?
Why is it important to me?
What doesn't this article tell me I should know?
How was this article contructed, and by whom for what purpose?
Are there other positions to consider?

It still astounds me how much I used to accept that was BS.  And how much better informed I am by NOT watching/listening to the "News".

One ruling party of Zionist. Not to be affiliated with anti semite. Evil to the core and on fast track to finish off the Republic. We allowed Central Bank to rule currency by debt based currency back by nothing, schools infected with sick curriculum, entertainment of garbage on TV resulting in a dumb down population. Outsourcing of industry by both sides of fake aisle. Russia/China along with India, Brazil and S.Africa setting up there own banking system away from the dollar
Takes time, but already started. I expect other countries to join eventually
US abused its currency reserve status.

I consider myself a classic, traditional conservative (whatever that means).  I believe in old-time, fundamental values of right/wrong, being accountable, believing that freedom is a gift and our founding fathers were WAYYY smarter filled with more WISDOM than any of us now.

I was born in 1952.  Right or wrong, I remember when I was growing up and until the late 1960's, everything seemed to work really well, things were in their right order filled with respect, dignity, value and faith.  Somewhere, here in the U.S. if not the world, the train jumped the track AND has remained off.

I have no idea if or how to ever get the genie back in the bottle.  I really miss the simple things and how uncomplicated life was and how happy everyone seemed.  It is easy for me say that liberals are to blame, but I didn't feel that way in the 1960's.  I DID in the 1970's and beyond.  That's when seemingly the illogical stuff started - judges taking the side of criminals, anti-military - hell, I remember when veterans were booed in the Vietnam era at 4th of July parades.  Fortunately, SOMEHOW, we got back on the side of supporting Americans sacrificing for other Americans and shortly after 9/11 4th of July parades were once again true celebrations and veterans were given standing ovations and cheers!

Don't know where I am going with this other that everything is SOOOOO messed up, I am afraid an "acceptable" fix could take another 40 years to accomplish.

Beware he who asks for blanket powers to solve such deep AND broad problems.  For possibly, the table could be setting up for the anti-Christ.  If you don't know this name/phrase, look it up.

Everyone will need to be strong as the first parts of a fix will be the toughest.

As it stands right now (no official hats in the ring)
Scott Walker is about the only one I'd hitch my wagons to
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

BEEMER!

I like Walker and he has proven he can win elections.  Wisconsin was a traditional Blue state and he has won twice plus a recall.

I just hope he is ready to perform on the National Stage with a liberal media taking swipes at him.

Less than 40% vote in mid terms

More than 60% vote in presidentials

The Electoral College is the game and it is difficult for any Republican to win it. Any Democrat has 6-7 ways to win while the Republican candidate needs to run the table.

Dick Morris a GOP commentator thinks a Walker and Rubio ticket can win.

This Republican author is more realistic. In 2014 the Democrats held on to Virginia and New Hampshire, that puts a Democrat at 270 Electoral Votes without Ohio and Florida.

No way Walker can win Ohio, Ohio is a still a very union state, I even doubt he wins his own state.

The hope used to be that the Democrats will wake up and stop the leftward lurch. They have gone off the cliff and are still sleeping. When the bus crashes they will still be looking for the Obama lever. Idiotic sheep want their free shit. FSA rules all.

Wolfie;

Interesting take.  I live in Columbus and every presidential election I hold my breath.  Actually, the greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area is a heavy manufacturing and therefore union stronghold.  Columbus is very whilte collar but Ohio State is here so you never know what to expect.  Cincinnati also tends to be conservative, so how the entire state goes is always close.

We have elected and re-elected a strong Republican governor (Kasich) who just started his second term.  His first campaign was all tough-talk conservative.  What was the first thing he did after his election?  Went after the police, fire and teachers' unions WHILE QUIETLY EXEMPTING ALL government employees from retribution.  No, I am NOT kidding.  I didn't like going after these unions FIRST and ESPECIALLY while exempting themselves.

What a fu%$king hypocrite!

Anyway, hard to tell how the whole state will go.

I love to see the prognostication this early in the cycle.

Much can and will happen in the 9 mos.

Jeb's advantage is his name and access to the machine. His disadvantage is his name.

Walker is getting in on some of the $$$ gathering......it'll be interesting to see how it manifests.

Rubio.....the jury is still out.

All in all....politics is politics.....much hasn't changed in hundreds of years.....publicity through electronic media has only just brought it out for public consumption.
Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!

Buckeye, if a black guy can win Ohio, what do you think a white women will do?

Politically speaking, the GOP wins 3 of the 4 election cycles. They control nearly everything. If I had to bet, most on this forum live in a GOP county and local. I wonder if anyone gets mad when they raise taxes. I bet they tax and shout Obama and get the GOP voter to reelect them.

Believe it or not, the GOP runs 40 of the 60 counties in NY and 65% of the locals. Why? These elections are held in the odd years were only 30% show up and all the Democrats care about is the Jewel, NYC. (Upstate NY is rural and truly beautiful, kinda like Kentucky near Bowling Green, with bigger mountains.)

Politics is all about numbers.

Who has them wins and the numbers going into 2016 favor the Democrats like they favored the GOP in 2014. For those that think ahead, 2018 will be a good GOP year, with 2020 cementing the Democrats as the primary party in America.

Hillary is not good at campaigning.  She doesn't like it.  She appears stiff and cold.  People outside the flock just don't like her.

Add to that all the baggage from her past.  She started off as a dirty lawyer, headed the bimbo bashing machine, was of no real consequence in the Senate, and would have a hard case to make any positive results from Secretary of State.

I still don't think she's running.  I still think its bait and switch.  The Dems couldn't pick a much worse choice.  The ONLY positive is Bubba is liked, but keeping Bubba in line isn't easy either.

A serious test of the Republicans will be the ban M855 ammo Obama agenda. IF Congress helps us in this battle, some of us serfs may be appeased.

Patriot

I keep seeing people saying they are done with republicans and will only vote independent or stay home on election day. That just isn't going to work next election. We need a republican. We have to have a republican. I don't care if it's the most worthless RINO. We need someone who isn't going to veto every damn thing going through the congress. We need to get someone in there so we can relax and stop worrying about gun control as much. Vote independent any other election that you want, but it is IMPERATIVE that we get ANY republican in the president's seat in 2016. We cannot afford to have another democrat in office for the next 4-8 years. They will continue with the executive orders that the congress can't override without a majority. Little by little those executive orders will take more and more away. You think Obama is bad? Hillary Clinton is much worse.
