I've seen a few reference this optic in their posts. Does anyone have a lot of experience with it on top of a 10mm? I have mounted one on my G-20SF in hopes that it will allow me to be more accurate and extend my range capability to fifty yards.
Anyone care to tell me about their FF-III? Or perhaps another optic has worked well for you. I would love to have one that could be turned on and left on all season but if I can remember to turn it on when I get to the stand and when I leave I guess  it doesn't matter.

I have the same setup - G20SF w/ FF3 and I simply love it.

Btw, don't turn it on when you get in stand, rather, turn it on when you hear movement! Why waste the battery having it on for hours not using it?

Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!

Did the optic come with the mounting plate for the glock or did you have to order it separately? Thanks, looks great.

The mount is Springer Precision - highly recommended. The Burris mount, regardless of what they might say, will not fit the large frame Glocks.

I think it was $50 +/-

I mounted a JPoint on my Glock 20SF about two years ago.  It has definitely extended my range.  I can accurately shoot to 50 yards and the sight has held up well, I've had no issues.

I have long been interested in a set up like that whether it is with a sight dovetail mount or a slide machining.

Now with the new G40 MOS coming out and a Glock Discount Coupon in hand I am really thinking about one to replace my G29 gun for pig hunting.

I am just amazed that any optic can stand the battering it must take on a 10mm slide. :o

Frank,
Mine has stood up to not only the hottest. 44mag loads but also the through the hottest 10mm loads I've fired.... This is from a SBH 7,5" hunter barrel and a stock.G20SF barrel

They are tough. Just mount them correctly and you will be fine. (proper mount and Loctite).

Ramjet

I melted or machined a RMR Trijicon inot my LW long slide and have run many many rounds of stout loaded 10mm through that gun no issues yes 50 yards peice of cake even off hand.

I just found this thread through Google search. So, I guess I'll bring it back up.
Here's my setup for deer hunting next year with Burris FF3, UM3 Rail Mount, and Lone Wolf extended barrel. I opted out of using the dovetail mount because of negative reviews. So far, I'm loving this mount.
