No +P Ammo in EAA Witness P? What?

I was looking at the description a gun seller posted of the Witness P Compact in 10mm.  He stated that the owners manual had a warning against using +P ammo. What?  Really?  Does this mean this gun can only handle the watered down 10mm loads, and not the true hotter 10mm?  If this is true, then the Witness P will have to be removed from my short list...

Big problems with the shorter mags in the compact series.  I got a compact steel for carry purposes, but it will never be reliable enough.

The recoil spring setup in the thing was an absolute joke.  As shipped, the slide would hang back for what seemed like a quarter second between shots.  It was long enough to make me feel uncomfortable.  It simply needs to be trashed and a single spring installed.  It runs best with lighter springs and low impulse ammo, but even then isn't reliable enough for carry.  Increasing the power increases the failure to feed issue, especially if the spring tension is increased to handle hotter ammo.

I have gone with a CZ 2075 for carry, even though the Compact Steel feels better in the hand, my preference to carry locked and in double action (Uncocked and locked) in the Witness, and I'm stuck with a smaller caliber.

The P-carry uses the 15 round magazine and has a good reputation.  I have a Limited Pro that is ultra reliable.  I strongly recommend the models with the 14-15 round magazine.  I strongly discourage the 12 round models because they simply are not reliable enough to depend on them.

The mag makes the gun. Why when the new K10 mags came out for the fullsize there was no change for the compact is my question.

EAA carries some new pinched 10 rounders. Anyone inquired?

+P is a SAAMI designation.  It is not an arbitrary indicator of more powerful ammo.  There is no such thing as 10mm+P

Steel Witness Compact takes a 12 rounder. The old glossy mags of past still being used and sold with pistol.

Ok fair enough.  Thanks.  Does this mean that the gun should handle the hotter 10mm loads?

The guns are designed to handle loads that fall within 10mm SAAMI pressure spec.

Kevin at Underwood is adamant that his loads are within SAAMI spec.  However, details about the testing procedures are not provided.  Certainly his loads are right at the edge of the spec.
