Hhmmm....No, but I found out about this forum through perusing GT's 10mm subforum. [I requested to be removed from their membership (& they complied...permanently banned) after they prohibited any threads about the M.O. in their political subforum. I kinda miss the place, but I just couldn't see a blanket prohibition of topic/thread in a "political forum."]--Patrice

Still read and make some comments. Some good info to be had, but they are pretty big so quite active but I like the more 10mm specific topics this forum offers...

GT is a joke! This place is much better! There is a moderator over there I would love to MEET in person! He's a Nazi! He's a cop, and I feel bad for the public that has to interact with that bullying, power trippin' waste!

Kudos to this place for being so friendly, it's a joy to post things on here and get good advice from people who aren't miserable in real life!

I don't read all of GT, only the specific areas of interest to me. Who is this guy? There are "bad cops", we know, and it isn't tolerated by the majority. We police our own. Anyone who violates the oath (local or national) ain't worth their skin!

He's just a Nazi on the board. He gives me rule infractions if his POV differs from mine. I've been law enforcement, and my wife is a state probation/parole agent. What I have found is that most cops who are paid to uphold the law, don't know the law. They like to buffalo, and bully you into doing what best suits them. Why do you think "To protect and serve" is no longer on cruisers? Because they don't give a shit about the 2nd class civilians!

I had a bunch of stuff written down, but it's been my experience that if you say 1 thing that some dipshit ROBOCOP doesn't like, it turns into a big huge thing. I'm so not in the mood for a big huge "thing".

You may be a great cop, I don't know you. This I do know, I've known allot more douche bag cops, than good cops willing to do their job to the best of their ability day in and day out.

So far, this board has been one of the most polite, fun-loving, useful boards I've been a member of.

Just wanted to add this:
I'm talking about town/city police. I've not KNOWN one deputy or trooper I did not think was a profesional. Usually more laid back, and seem to take allot of pride in the job that they do.

It unfortunate you've been exposed to such a poor example. It isn't like that, hardly to any degree. Arrogant adam-henry's? Sure, some of them. Most mean well, but that's how they've been trained for 20 years (wrong, IMO). "Protect-Serve" is LAPD (still), Adam-12 (LAPD) and the movies. I'm retired now, and wouldn't tolerate such behavior from my troops. Perhaps this "mod" isn't such a bad guy, and uses the [anonymous] discussion board to vent what he can't at work? Not saying it's right, but maybe it's a reach out??? Who are we to say? Drew Peterson is a career cop. Now THAT's a guy with issues....
