Another new guy here, not new to pistols or firearms but new to 10 mm platform. Purchased new Gen3 G20 SF in mid December. Sorry it took me so long to start in this caliber. I plan on learning much on this forum and I do reload so I will be searching forum on this caliber as I plan on rolling my own 10 mm!

I'm here to gather info, listen & learn. Every now & then I'll throw down a line or 2. Don't much care for drama, I like to be a joker every now & then and sometimes my timing is a little off, I apologize if I offend. I have found a passion & great respect for the 10 and very eager to learn more. I've only been in the 10 a year and a half and just got into the .40 S&W 2 months ago.
I appreciate the forum and the people who work hard to educate and share 10mm facts, ideas, and experiences. I've lurked in here 2 nights and I'm  Impressed ! Great job on the forum...I'll try my best to leave it like I found it.
Been running the G20  , Kimber Eclispe Custom 2 , G35  and LOV'IN IT!

Welcome Jay!  Enjoy the forum and the expertise that comes along with it. 8)
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Saw a link on the 1911 forum.
My name is Tracy.

I use the same username for all the forums I'm associated with.
Live in Greensboro, NC. and drive a haz-mat tractor trailer tanker.
I've been reloading since 04/98.  Mainly 45acp, +P, 45Super and 45-08 Armco (a wildcat cartridge similar to, but much hotter than 45Super).  Got my Delta Elite last year and finally (recently) loaded my first 50 rds.  Shot a Delta about 8 years ago and have wanted one ever since.  Fact is that if I had shot a Delta BEFORE I got my 1911 45's, I'd have never bought a 45.  Glad to be here.  Thanks.

Welcome Tracy.  Enjoy!  There's a wealth of data around here with plenty of member's that have been there and done that to answer questions.

New guy here from north Texas.  Recently retired which I have learned means trying to do more things with less money.

Been shooting and reloading rifle, handgun and shotgun for going on 60 years.  That doesn't really mean anything other than I am old!

Afraid I am very old school in types of handguns I shoot, but more modern in my rifles.  Really into hunting AR's.  Shoot revolvers up to, and including the 454 Casull.  Almost 100% of my semi-auto handguns are 1911's.  Don't own, nor have I ever shot a Block!  Been loading and shooting 45ACP for 50 years, but new to "tens".  My first was a Kimber Target that I enjoyed, but not quite enough.  My second was a DW C-Bob, it too has been sold.  My latest is only three weeks old, a NH Talon.  I really like it.  It is accurate, reliable and fun to shoot.  So far in it's load development, Blue Dot and a Hornady 180gr. HAP seems to be the right combination.

Glad to be here and look forward to participating when I can.

Welcome to the forum claimbuster!  That NH Talon is a very nice looking piece!  Where you and I differ is that I only have experience with the Blocks. :D

Nothing against the 1911s overall, I just took a different path.  Since I'm not well versed in 1911s from any end of the spectrum, what kind of ballpark amount does one have to shell out for a NH similar to yours?  And, would it generally be considered a step up from the Kimber or Dan Wesson you had in the past?

claimbuster,  welcome to the forum from next door state and congrats with that very nice NH Talon...drool!  Hope you find the forum to your liking!

Blue Dot is one of my favorite powders, but I do use several others...IMR800X, Power Pistol, LongShot, AA#7 & 9.
Be sure to look at the pull down data of the commercial loading's in the Factory/Commercial ammo section...

Best regards! :D
