Andy, Welcome to the forum!  We communicated on Facebook the other day...As a commercial loader you work under a FFL6 license at the least?
Does your company have its ammunition pressure test?  Inhouse? or Outsourced Lab?
We have questioned some loads, as sold by some of the commercial loaders at times, with some of the pressure signs people have experienced.
Hope you find the forum interesting and informative...I'm sure some guys will also have questions for you as well!
Best Regards!   :D

Thanks.

As a former auditor I can't comprehend starting an ammunition business without an FFL and adequate insurance coverage.  We have outsourced pressure testing on loads that do not have sufficient published load data, and we are working on taking care of this in house for select/popular calibers of ours.

Thanks for the response, we have often wonders about some 10mm ammo pressures that were sold over the years!

Greetings, FNG from NoVA here. Been a gun guy for decades, but just recently got a 10mm and am really enjoying the info here.

Is there a way to search within threads?

For example, I'd like to search the gel tests thread for a few specific loads, rather than scan over 35 pages of posts. I suspect the Magtech 180 JHP 10mm loads have been tested, but I'm not having luck searching for these and a few others.

graydude, welcome to the forum and glad you like what's here.
I don't recall doing a pull-down of the Magtech 10mm ammo as of yet, but they seem to have good numbers.  It is one of the 10mm ammo I want to document when I get the chance.
However Magtech usually has proprietary powders for their ammo.  You can find plenty of data in the Pull-Down section to view the documentations here:

Hope you can add to the experiences here as well...
Best regards!   :D

Retired and living the good life in Arizona.  I'm a 1911 fan, 9mm, 38 Super, and 45.  I just ordered my first 10mm, a Springfield Armory 1911 TRP, 6".  I reload, and that's all it will shoot.  I'll be using it on jackrabbits and coyotes.  I see a lot of good information here.

marlin39a, Welcome to the forum glad you like what you have seen here so far!  That Marlin 39 would be better for the Jack Rabbits as you would waste a lot less meat...
Best regards and enjoy the forum!  :D

Rotten

Hello all,
My name is Trace, new to this forum but have visited several times before joining. Why join now? Well a friend who heard me talking about guns I used to have and praising my S&W 1006, that I used to carry on duty over 30 years ago but sadly had to sell, called me a couple of months ago. He had traded into a NIB SR1911 10mm and offered it to me for $400. Needless to say I am now the proud owner of said SR1911 10mm. I do like that it is on the 1911 platform as I can use my RIA 9mm and STI 45 for practice and carry the 10mm. I'd practice with the 10mm more but as a reloader losing that much brass consistently would break the bank. Working on some plinking loads for it now and will get around to some SD loads. I don't plan to push my loads to the max but as with my 41 mag I do enjoy the occasional full house load. I live in the Texas panhandle and though I work for the state I am no longer LEO.

Have a great day!

Welcome Trace, this is an awesome forum with tons of knowledgeable folks...Enjoy!

Welcome aboard Rotten.  That was a steal of a deal on that SR1911.  Mine is rock solid.
