Welcome to the forum Mitch.Engel!  Glad to have you on here and look forward to your experiences and hunting excursions.
We have all understood the addictive nature of the 10mm firearms, as nobody can have just one!
Best regards and enjoy the forum!

   I'm Scott. I'm from Massachusetts
This forum/internet thing is pretty new to me.
Man I shoot way too much :)

Brassjunkie

It worked, nice
I'm a metal fabricator south of Boston.
My hobbies are reloading and shooting handguns.
I hope to get and give solid advice, I'll probably be hanging out in the reloading section a lot.

Whiskrfish

I stumbled across this forum looking for load data. I'm currently building my first 10mm from lone wolf parts. I've got the timberwolf large frame with the adjustable trigger and 3.5# connector.

Thanks glad I found this place

You will like it I'm sure, many extremely knowledgeable folks to learn from, not to mention things we can learn from you

Casper

Hi, I am here from California to get reloading info because I refuse to provide ID or fingerprints to buy ammo.

And if I'm going to reload, I'll load self defense style ammo that makes cheap commercial ammo look ineffective.

Kenk

Smart, Welcome Casper!

Welcome to the forum Casper!  Best of luck as California is getting stricter every chance the can!
Best Regards!  :D

Hey, everyone.  This is Andy Steinel, I'm the owner of Steinel Ammunition (formerly XCaliber).  I wanted to join this thread to learn about ammo preferences and drool over some 1911s, Tanfoglios, and even the occasional [unique] Glock.  I'll leave it up to the admins as to what extent I can boast about the performance of our latest 10mm load that we're working on or already have on the market.

A little about me: I drudged through studies and got my CPA and MBA and hated it.  I worked in public accounting for Deloitte and Touche, and were it not for the great people- I would have hated it.  I then worked for a publicly-traded company in a few different roles and ultimately my last position was a controller of a plant in Monroe, NC.  Were it not for the people there- I would have hated it.   I had been reloading as a hobby for about 8 years, and it was an almost uncontrollable obsession.  For example, when getting into a new caliber, I would often have to force myself to get a couple hours to sleep.
I've been told by more than one person that OCD is a character flaw of mine...but it certainly helps out today with the business- as the passion is still strong and open projects are rarely open for long.

I started XCaliber Ammunition and worked at nights and weekends making product on a single stage press and a couple Hornady LNLs (depending on the caliber).  I went to local shows selling remanufactured, boring calibers to reach a wide audience and to get the brand out there.  It worked well as I began to get repeat customers, and began loading more profitable calibers as well as hunting and defensive ammo.  I was able to bring on help and add additional equipment while keeping the quality where it needed to be.  After a couple years and some lucky decisions on caliber offerings I was able to quit my job and run the ammo business full time.  I took over a 50% pay cut but was doing what I loved (albeit in a basement).  About a year ago I was able to move out of the basement into a 6k sq ft facility in Twinsburg, OH.  After running into several other XCaliber/Excalibur/X-Caliber within the industry, we changed our name to Steinel Ammunition Co.

We focus on a few different product lines including big bore hunting ammo like 458 SOCOM, 500 Auto Max, and 45/70; vintage ammo like 8mm Nambu, 7.7 Arisaka, and M2 Ball for the Garand; and self-defense ammo.  10mm is a great fit for us as it's a powerful cartridge that's great for hunting and self defense.  I've always thought of myself as a revolver guy because of the power of many revolver calibers, but the more I shoot 10mm the more fun I have.  Shooting hot 45 Colts or 44 Mag is fun but after a while it gets draining (and expensive).  I can shoot a Glock 20 at steel for hours and be ready for more.  I also look forward to using 10mm for a pig hunt in the near future!

Before I ramble too long, I'll just say "hello" to everyone and I hope to learn a lot here.
