New guy posting.  Recently picked up a S&W 1006 and started looking over here for parts.  Seems like a great forum for all things 10mm.  I've had a Glock 20 for over 10 years and reload for it.

Live in the Piedmont area of NC.

Hello and Greetings,

I'm another new guy to this forum. I am a California boy currently living in exile in the Hill Country of Texas. I am a recently retired Fed and I also retired years ago from a California Sheriff's Department.

A few months ago something told me I needed a Glock 29 so I recently got one  . I've been lurking here for a few days getting some ideas on what direction I want to go with the G29. I've put TruGlo TFX Pro sights on it (same ones I have on my G30S). I haven't shot the G29 yet so hopefully sometime this week! I plan on qualifying with it, sooner or later, to allow me to carry it as a EDC.

My current carry is the G30S using Federal Premium HST 230 gr +P. I still qualify with my G23 and Colt Defender (45 cal) as required annually.

I have already got a lot of information from here and I appreciate all of it.

Welcome aboard.  G29 is a very common gun in my carry rotation.

SA4044, Welcome to the forum and the 10mm cartridge and firearm.  Thank you for your service...
If you are proficient with the G-30S the G-29 sould be very close to the same feel appeal.  You have probably noticed many 10mm commercial offerings are 40S&W or slightly better unless you go with the boutique companies.  Handloading can allow you to get the best balance of velocity and bullet selection.
