I've been on here reading and lurking since March, thought I should make an introduction. I bought my first 10mm about a year ago, it is a Smith and Wesson 610 with a 6 inch barrel. Since then I have developed a serious addiction and bought 4 more 10mm's! (actually 5 more but sold the Glock 29) I now own two 610's, the 6 inch and a 3 7/8 inch, a Smith and Wesson 310, a Colt Delta Elite, and a Glock 20SF. I am currently looking for a 10mm 1911 in commander size.
I enjoy reloading 10mm among other calibers on my Dillon 550, I've found several great recipes on this site.
I mostly shoot steel targets on my range at my house.
I live in Southern Indiana where I run a powder coat shop.
Thats about it for me.

Hello All,
I've been lurking around this forum for a couple of years.  I really like how helpful people are to each other on here.  There seems to be a serious lack of hate that makes most of the other forums not fun.

Regardless. Like most folks, I've had my 22 rifle, pistol, a shotgun, and a hunting rifle for most of my life.   Never really gave much thought to self defense until there was a bunch of gang members hiding from the cops in my back yard a few years ago.
That search for the home defense weapon led me to the 10mm.

I now live way out of town, so have the opportunity to practice, and with that, comes the need (desire?) to reload.  I am getting my reload room set up now, and will be starting with my hunting rounds, but will be moving on to the pistol rounds soon.

Anyways, I have a Glock 20 and a Sig P220 that I will looking for some help with.   Also looking to add a revolver and a carbine at some point.  Next purchase though will be a Glock 29.

Thanks y'all for providing a well run forum.

Lettusbee67, welcome to the forum!  You have a good start already with the 2 10's you have.
Handloading for the 10mm can have some things that you can work through.  I recommend Pass-Through sizing of used brass, this gives a initial inspection for bad brass, like splits and SMILEs, but more importantly this sizing reaches the areas not touched during regular sizing and depriming.
Regular sizing and depriming is a straightforward process.
Case mouth expansion needs to be just as much as to let the bullet's base start inside.
Bullet seating needs to be done without any closure or crimp being applied while the bullet is in motion and pushed inside the casing.
Crimp is a tapering of the case walls back against the bullet, it can be straight to slightly smaller at the case mouth.  0.4220" at the very edge is usually perfect depending on the thickness of the casing walls.

There are  many powders to choose from that work well with the 10mm, top performers are LongShot, 800X, AA#7 & #9, Blue Dot, Power Pistol and BE-86, however faster powders can be great performers for target work with respect to economy and brass longevity...

Best regards, enjoy the forum!   :D

Hello all, I've owned a succession of 10MM pistols and revolvers, pretty much since the first Bren Tens became available. Worked SHOT one year with Tom Dornaus and Michael Dixon, toured the factory, etc. Started reloading for the 10 as soon as dies became available.   I still have one 10 and am looking forward to discussion of all things 10MM.

New guy.  Hello.  Should be getting my 2nd 10mm Delta Elite.  First was when they first came out and Norma ammo was the only ones you could get.  Sold it to get something else.  Should have kept it.  The 2nd is a BEC Delta Elite.

Welcome aboard RK1911.  I sold my Delta from the early 90's too.  Should have kept it.

Hi everone!
Jerry here from central Texas.
I just jumped on board the 10mm bandwagon with a new Gen4 Glock 20. I've have been intrigued by 10mm since I first read about it, so it was just a matter of time.
So far, I have only put 200 rounds downrange with it so I can't comment much other than to say that the first and all subsequent rounds put a huge smile on my face!

Hope to learn a lot here and maybe even add a little knowledge myself.

Hello and welcome to the forum Jerry!   Congrats with the G-20, should serve your needs just fine, but beware of the addiction!  Oh yes it is a real deal... LOL
Best regards!  :D
