Hey ya'll
1st I like to thank Mike for introducing me to this site;

Myself; I'm a Disabled Vet, 12 years Marine Corps Combat Engineers CW02. For the last 12 years I've worked some form of Private Security/Security Police, Tribal/PSD/EP/DDM. I also work as a part time Armorer/Gunsmith for a couple of local shops Here in Pierce & Thurston counties.

I have been a BIG Fan of the 10mm and of course the venerable 45ACP for a long time. I have all 3 generation of Glock G20/21, both in standard & slim frames excepted Gen4. THE favorite 10mm will always be the S&W 1006 & S&W 610's, I own quite a few of them. I also hunt with my 10mm's, 2 years ago I took a 450 pound bear using my 10mm Golck with a LWD 6" barrel. I was hoping to go Farrell pig hunting with my AR/15 in 10mm this year, but my job changed.

Currently I'm working with guy, that’s making a few 16 inch barrels for the G20/G21 & 1911's and I'm CNC'ing some Butt stocks for the Glock and 1911's to convert a pistol, to a carbine. Also we're doing a 10mm carbine conversion for older Mauser bolt actions using Delta elite mags; Hopefully show them off at Shot show this coming new year.... If the world doesn't come to an end, Dec-2012

Thanks for ya'll time

CW02, First thank you for your service!  ;)  Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your self here.  I am quite the S&W fan myself...
I will be following the work of the barrels, please keep us informed.  I'd like to see some longer barrels for the G-29's.
I am waiting on a fellow Bad_Man_One from the S&W forum to finish some barrels for my S&W pistols to add to my collection.

Best regards! ;D

Welcome to the forum Jon!  What 10mm load did you use to harvest the 450 pound bear, and from what distance?
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I reload my own round, I used a 175grain Lead SWC @ about 1360-1370'ish on the crono; it's a pretty hot round and functions great through the AR

Nice.  I wasn't thinking about it being from an AR platform.  Was the 175gr Lead SWC able to completely pass through the bear?  If not, if you're aware, how far did it make it?

I use a CavArms lower with my 3 Oly arms Ar's uppers in 40S&W, 45ACP, and 10mm. The G20/21 mags will work for the CavArms lower with a special mag block adaptor I build; for me to use the 40cal upper I have to use a different mag block, since the G22 mags are a little skinnier.
When I cut the bear open, the SWC went through the left lung, I got lucky that the bullet pass through a couple of the ribs without shattering the rib bone and lodged about 4 inches into the right lung and man let me tell you, it made a heck of a hole. I was about 45 to 55 yards away

Thanks for the details.  It seems to me that is more impressive than most would give a 175gr bullet of any design credit for.  Very good to hear, and compliments on your trophy.  I'm not up on the AR platforms all that much, so much of what you say is Greek to me.  That said, I'm sure plenty of others will be happy to learn about what you have to offer.  Sounds like you have a good thing going in regard to the AR/10mm setups.  I wish you the best of luck, and again, welcome to the forum! 8)
