For the price of 10 boxes of 10mm you could get set up to cast and reload and load 1000  rounds, assuming you have saved up brass.

I did not know that. Hmmm.... thank you.
When you say "cast" are you referring to melting lead, pouring my own?

Yep.

First upgrade I would add is a proper scales.  The dippers work fine for plinking loads, but a scales is needed if you want to work towards max loads.  A Lee safety scale is about $30.00.

Lee stuff is not nearly as well made as many other brands.  But it will last you a decade or more of normal use with no issue.  And will allow you to either shoot lots more, or save up faster to more/better equipment.  It also allows you to get experience so you know where you want to invest in more costly equipment, versus just listening to internet opinions.

Too bad my Hornady automatic scale/dispenser costs more than what you paid for everything else. It is the best reloading investment I made so far. (Other than the original start up set)
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Would a reloading kit have everything I need? https://fsreloading.com/lee-precision-classic-turret-press-kit-90304.html
Except for the pot and mold.
Or does it have extra stuff I don't need?

With some kits you need the dies, calibers, but you get what you pay for as things go!  Some companies are life time warranty not just 2 years like others...

It has things you aren't likely to use.  And I personally don't have much use for a turret press.  if I were going to a multi-station press, I would get a progressive.  The Lee Breechlock Challenger Anniversary kit is a better choice.

Things I think are worthwhile in the kit:
The press is good for the price.  It uses a bushing system, so you can adjust a die in a bushing, then remove the bushing and not alter the adustment.  It is not as solid as a Rockchucker, but it will reload just fine.  I would not try to swage bullets on this press.

The scales is OK.  Priming system works well.  The case trimmer is among the best I have used.

I have used the powder measure yet, but it feels really flimsy.

I started with a RCBS rockchucker kit.  It is a lot more expensive, but also a lot more solidly made.  I have also purchased a Lee kit since.  On the bench behind me at my desk I have two lee reloader presses, a lee breechlock, and an RCBS.  I use the two lee reloaders the most.  C-presses allow easier access so for duties like flaring, seating and crimping, they work very well.  The two O presses tie, with the RCBS being called on for swaging, bullet sizing, or case forming.  The Lee Breechlock has the best spent primer management so it gets the bulk of the depriming duties.

Good luck

What's wrong with a nice auto indexing turret press?

I don't see any advantage to one.  All the liabilities of a progressive with none of the benefits.

Greetings from SW Pennsylvania.

Some background:  Navy 84-88, Army NG 90-96, PAGS grad 1990, spent time as a gunsmith from 1990-2004, truck driver 2004-present.

I've been a long time fan of the 10mm since it's introduction.  I've helped friends develop handloads for their 10s over the years but I never found any I liked until recently.  I'm not a huge fan of Glocks, I'm more of a 1911 fan.  I spec'd a build sheet for a single stack 1911 back in the late 80's but never got around to building it due to wife and kids.
Never thought I'd own a Glock because the grips are to big for my short stubby fingers.  That is, until last winter when I shot a friends 4th gen 45acp with a Zev trigger kit installed.  I immediately put a model 40 on order with my local pusher.  (still waiting for it)

Two weeks ago I picked up a RIA ultra (?) FS.https://us.armscor.com/products/rock-ultra-fs-10mm
Not because I'm a fan of Philippine craftsmanship but the fact they built it the way I wanted to back in the 80's.  I'll post a report on all of it's shortcomings later in the 10mm pistol section.

Lastly I want to thank everyone who contributed load data in the reloading section.  After spending a few days studying, I've worked up some latter test loads that I'm about to go test fire now.

New guy here, names Josh. Just purchased a gen 3 Glock 20. Here in California we have to wait 10 days before I can go pick her up. Looking forward to some stout recipes for the mighty 10. If anyone has some specific pet recipes for CFE pistol or power pistol powder shoot me a message! I've already purchased a 24# recoil spring and lone wolf barrel in anticipation...

Pics to come once I pick her up
