Just checked, the MSRP is a bit higher than the Nitro ($500-$1500 higher.) I couldn't pay that since I just bought a few other toys, too. That's a beautiful gun I've never seen before, though. Haven't heard anything bad about Fusion, how do you like it?

Howdy, found about about this excellent forum through a post on GlockTalk and couldn't wait to join up. As my screen name implies, I've been a 10mm shooter, amongst other calibers, for about 20 years. I'm 65 years old, been shooting and reloading since the early '70s. Right now my 10mm accumulation includes a blue 1991 Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup, a gen 2 G-20 with a Bar-Sto bbl, and a gen 4 G-29. i am strictly a target shooter and I also enjoy riding bicycles on the road, and on singletrack trails. Strum a guitar for my own pleasure and active in my church. That's about it, glad to be here.

Howdy folks, my name is Gary. Retired in 2008 after 38 years in DOD, 81/2 years Navy and the rest as a civil servant. I only own one 10MM, a G20 which is my day to day carry. Some of what I reload 222, 223, 243, 25-06, 270, 280, 7MM, 30 carbine on up to 45-70.    5.7X28, 380, 38/357, 9MM, 40/10MM, 44/44 mag, 45 ACP, 45 colt, 454 and 460 S&W.

You can never make the same mistake twice because the second time you make it, it isn't a mistake, it's a choice.

Welcome Gary!!

I like the Florida panhandle area. Spent lots of time (youthful days) from PCB to Mobile.
Some days it's just good to be lucky; rather than just good looking!

Hello

(About me)
I am from Northern California San Francisco Bay Area. I like the idea of gun and/or caliber specific forums. It is easier to find the info on a specific subject and there is usually more info on a specific subject. I am not stuck on any specific caliber, type, model, or brand of gun. I like all guns.

(How I acquired a 10mm)
I had been interested in a Glock 20 on and off for a while. I really didn't want another caliber because I reload 98% of the ammo I shoot and I didn't want to buy another set of dies and shell plates for a new caliber, but since I recently got a Beretta 96 (40S&W) and ended up buying 40S&W dies anyways, the 10mm started to look like an option.
I have large hands and like the feel of the large frame Glocks as opposed to the Short Frame (SF) versions. There was a rumor going around that Glock plans on discontinuing the standard large frame Glocks, and will continue to offer the guns in the SF and Gen 4 versions. Since I am in California and we can't get Gen 4 guns through normal gun stores, I thought I should buy a large frame Gen 3 as soon as possible. The gun store was selling a Glock 21 (45 ACP) for $35 less than a Glock 20. Since my money tree got shopped down, I decided to get the G21, and then buy a 10mm slide and barrel at a later time when I had the money. Another reason why I got the 45ACP over the 10mm was that I have thousands of rounds of 45 ammo and I also wanted to convert the G21 in 460 Rowland. A month after I got the G21 someone on another gun board was selling a new G21 complete top end for $200, so I bought it (I think they converted their G20 to a long-slide hunting gun).
Now I have my 10mm. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I want to try it out on some real factory 10mm ammo, and not watered-down 10mm like PPU sells. Underwood hasn't had any available for a while. I was able to buy 200 pieces of Starline nickle plated brass from Midway, so I have something to reload and shoot, but I want to compare them to factory loads to know if mine are too hot or too wimpy.

The 10mm will be interesting. I think I will carry it for bear defense in the woods over my 2" 41 mag. Fifteen 10mm is better than five 41 magnums.
