The old man (Elmo) retired from the Army after 36 years. He was in WW2, Korean and Vietnam wars, I miss drinking beer with him and shooting the shit.

I'm Ken.  Live in Oregon but moving to Florida, Orlando area, in the near future.  I've been shooting for many years, mostly .45ACP with an IPSC detour into .38 Super back in the early '90s.  I recently acquired a Nighthawk Falcon in 10mm, which was sort of a retirement/birthday present to myself.  I'm looking forward to playing with the 10.

Good afternoon from Texas. Completed my 25th year in law enforcement this year. Just a few more until I retire!!! I started my relationship with the 10mm in the early 90's a with a S&W 1086. It was great at first and then the agency went with the watered down ammo, before adopting the 40.  I have regretted getting rid of that pistol many times; especially since you can now buy good ammo again. I have a Glock model 20 on order and I can't wait.

BWT, welcome to the forum, sorry you sold you S&W1086 very sweet DAO pistol and congrats with the G-20 though!  Hope it brings you back into the realm of 10mm like you remember it!

Welcome BWT! I'm finishing up my 25th year in Corrections this year. Congrats on the G-20 that you have on the way. You ought to sniff out another 3rd Gen S&W just to bring back old memories. Guns just ain't made like they used to be and the newer ones that are close cost like hell.

Hi all, I just found this site and joined. My name is Sean and I live in Vermont. I just bought a Gen 4 Glock 29 (haven't even pulled the trigger on it yet). Anyway, this is my second 10mm but my first in a long time. Back in the late 90's I had a Delta Elite (you'd cry if I said what I paid for it then. And if I posted what I sold it for you'd lynch me 

Anyway, I'm 40 years old, former USMC, father of 1 son and 2 step daughters, a baseball coach and until very recently a CNC machinist. I tend to read a lot and post very little. Some forums that I've been on for ten or more years are in the mid 3 figures for total posts. I have been reloading for close to 20 years, I attended gunsmithing school in NC back in the 90's but other than some tinkering with my own guns and a very few repairs for friends I have never really put that skill set to use and most of what I learned has escaped me, but if I can help someone or offer advice I will.

Guess I rambled enough... I'll be around..
