Hello,

My name is Chris. 40 something male from Minneapolis. I have always been a glock guy, first glock was a 17 in 93. Have owned most glock models. Made the jump to 10mm in 2001 after realizing the 9mm, .40 and most semi-auto calibers just don't have enough of the best of both worlds for me, ft-lb and ft/sec. 10mm is the best of both worlds. Only handgun caliber other than .50ae and .44mag I shoot and reload.

Born in MN, have lived in northern WI, northern CA, south FL and southeastern TX. Back in the twin cities for good. No place like home. Worked in masonry for 10 years from high school, then tower construction in the communications industry for 8 years then a short stint of 2 years with case/new Holland where I said goodbye to the workforce and started my own biz in the tech industry. Couldn't be happier and healthier. I have only been reloading for a few years but have been a gun enthusiast since age 12. I love shooting glock 20 and 29s, desert eagles and S&W revolvers. I also shoot .223 in ar platform, .308 and .300 win mag in bolt and would like to shoot .338 and/or .50 in rifle someday.

Hope to learn some more about 10mm here and meet a few friends along the way. Thanks.

Hello Chris, and welcome to the forum!  Always glad to have other handloaders around!  I've dabbled in handloading a little, over the past 35+ years.  It is a very rewarding hobby to get the most from the shooting aspect!

Best regards! :D

Texan checking in here. Finally took the plunge into the 10mm world with a RIA 1911 and some reloading gear to go with it, now I am just waiting for for my starline brass to come on the brown truck.

I decied to get into 10mm because I was looking for a sidearm while hunting day and night at the lease, and would be a nice complement to my AR-15 chambered in 6.8 as my hunting rigs. I prefer the 1911 since I shoot them better than any other sidearm that I own. Looking forward to joining the fray and leaning some tricks when loading for the 10mm.

Here is a pic of what I have found local, only thing I had to order was the starline brass. In the meantime I have some cheap PPU loaded ammo, because I hate having a gun with no ammo.

Hey Wassman68, How do you like your Rock Island? I am currently saving my nickels for a new STI Nitro 10. But think these RIA's look pretty sharp. I also reload. A must for 10mm fanatics. Have you shot the RIA yet? Thanks for your time!

Greetings from Baton Rouge. Just bought my first 10mm, a Glock 20. The Shadow told me about this forum on my local shooting forum; very happy to have found it.  I like to go out backpacking and fishing from time to time and 10mm seemed suited for that more than the 9/40/45. Always used a .357 Magnum in the past and I got to say the 10 is only auto round that matches the versatility of the .357/.38.
