Welcome, aboard Yardbird.  Glad that you've decided to formally join-up!  I've seen Youtube reviews of the PPQ; and I'm impressed with the 'fast-reset' on the trigger.  Wish Walther would make it in a 10mm.

Welcome aboard Yardbird.

Gotta watch the wife that turns gunner.  Several years back as mine was going through her conversion she latched onto my Witness Elite Match when it arrived.  "Her" gun now.

Yardbird, also another welcome to the forum!  The HP-38 may yield you some target rounds in the medium range.
Best regards!   ;)

WASSMAN

Texan checking in here. Finally took the plunge into the 10mm world with a RIA 1911 and some reloading gear to go with it, now I am just waiting for for my starline brass to come on the brown truck.

I decied to get into 10mm because I was looking for a sidearm while hunting day and night at the lease, and would be a nice complement to my AR-15 chambered in 6.8 as my hunting rigs. I prefer the 1911 since I shoot them better than any other sidearm that I own. Looking forward to joining the fray and leaning some tricks when loading for the 10mm.

Here is a pic of what I have found local, only thing I had to order was the starline brass. In the meantime I have some cheap PPU loaded ammo, because I hate having a gun with no ammo.

Hey Folks,
New member here. I have a Delta Elite and just recently picked up a Glock 20 SF. Have a few other guns and been reloading pistol and rifle ammo since the mid-80s. I really like the constant learning aspect of my gun hobby and discussing with others who share my interests. For 10mm, blue dot is my favorite powder!!

Figured we should start a thread for introductions so the board doesn't get cluttered with a million intros.

I will start out. My real name is Mike. I'm 34 years old. I live north of Seattle, WA. I also own/run a hunting forum for hunters in Washington State, http://washington-hunters.com

I was a Gunner's Mate in the Navy for 10 years. The first 3 years I was a gun mount captain of the Mark 75 gun mount on a Frigate, then 4 years as a 5 inch gun mount captain on a destroyer. I then did 3 years as a military police officer at NAS Whidbey Island. I mostly worked in the armory though since I was a gunner. So I have experience in many weapons from small arms up to Tomahawk Missiles.

I design my own websites, create all of the images, modify the color schemes etc, with the exception of the logos, which I have my girlfriend do. She is a graphic designer for a sign making company. I do all of the code, CSS and HTML changes myself. I take the original SMF software and make my own mods. Easy for some people but it takes me a while to do it all. A lot of work goes into it. I had to learn all of this on my own. This website's design is a work in progress. It's almost done. I'm just looking for a better background design because I'm not sold on the urban grey camo yet. The rest looks pretty good though, I think.

I love 10mm's. It has been my favorite cartridge for 15 years. I started with a S&W 1006. I have a few Witness 10mm's and a Delta Elite. Looking at maybe getting a Glock 20 here soon.

So, welcome to the site. I'm happy with the progress so far. I will be spreading the word via Facebook and posting on other gun sites to get more members over the coming weeks.

Joined on the 14th, and have been busy posting and chatting. Love this forum. Talking about the 10 comes real easy among other enthusiasts. My name's Paul and live in Texas, with my Wife, 3 boys, and my 8 mo./old German Shepherd, Ruger.

MOUNTAIN WILLIAM

Hello from the sunny and free state of Arizona everyone. I can't remember a time that I wasn't into guns of one kind or another, especially as a little tyke. I had a whole wall covered with squirt guns, dart guns, caps guns, BB guns, you name it and it was on the wall. I have no idea where it came from unless it was due to genetics, I grew up in Illinois and no one in the family except for an uncle even owned a gun. I guess that makes me the genetically superior one of the family, lol.

Welcome from NC MOUNTAIN WILLIAM! I too had a drawing to firearms at a young age. My dad gave me my first 22 when I was 8. I bought my first handgun, a 357 blackhawk, when I was 12 (with my dads permission/private sale). I also used a lot of percussion revolvers prior to that to hone my handgun skills. I did not realize how lucky I was until I was in my late 20's. I also must note that my father has had a gun of some type his entire life but he is not a "gun guy" by any means, I had to learn on my own and blew a lot of my teenage earnings on ammo, but it was ALOT cheaper then. :'(
