Welcome JeepinDave!!! Thank you for your service too!! I'm 44, former military also, many, many years ago. You will find a lot of great and useful info here.

Thanks McQuade... still goin through the stuff in here, I am quickly becoming a fan of the little AR type/Glock hybrids, and about to check out some revolvers, there's some really cool stuff in here, I kinda though I was going to be out on my own when I picked up my 10 mm. but I am pretty happy now..!

Hi guys, JeepinDave directed me over here from the Glock Pro site. I am Al and have a Gen 3 G 20 and an extra LW barrel in 9X25 Dillon. Just awesome shooter with either barrel. I am a really old Calif attorney living in Placerville, CA. Great location if we could get away from SF and LA.
Have been reloading, shooting and hunting since I was a kid. My dad bought me a Winchester Mod 63 for my 12th birthday and I still have it. A P'ville cop, Ernie Haney taught me to reload a .22 Varminter (from a 250-3000 savage necked to .22)when I was 15 and I was hooked. Remington reinvented the Varminter and called it 22-250 as many of you know.
I have to get the dies to reload the 10mm but will asap. I'll have a lot of questions about powder, bullets etc soon.
Thanks for a great site,
al
btw I am a Glock Armorer

Hey all.  I just picked up my Gen4 G20 last week and ran a box of the cheap stuff through it and loved it.  I've never been a Glock fan due to the grip angle being so different from what I'm used to, but the 10mm sold me.  I got it as a woods gun for hiking/camping here in Wyoming as the .40 I usually carry just didn't give me the confidence I was looking for considering the critters that may cross me and my family's path.  I was going to grab a box of Underwood ammo to see what the 10mm can really do, but then realized I was going to pay $47 shipped for one box.  Ouch.  So, I'm assembling the reloading components for it as I can find them.  Should be a lot of fun.   :D

Being west of Mississippi you need to buy from PBR Ammo.Full power 10mm.

Thanks for the heads up on them.  I checked on shipping and it was $18.86 for a single box.  Yikes.  Reloading it is at this point I guess.  That's ok, winter is on the way and I'll need to do something to pass the time.   :)

Hi:
I'm CJ and I happened across this site while looking for info on the 10mm Auto.   I'm from Tampa, Florida and currently, I do not have any 10mm type firearms.  However, I am in the process of building one up. I recently purchased a like new Colt Delta Elite Slide.  My plan is to buy a Caspian Arms Recon Race stainless frame and mate the two to become a "Colt-spian" Delta Elite.  I do have new barrel for it from Dan Wesson chambered in 40 S&W but also plan on getting a barrel for 10mm.  Aside from that, I am into anything related to 10mm cartridges, to include the 38 WCF (a.k.a, the 38-40 Winchester), hence my handle, the 40 S&W, 400 Corbon, 10mm auto, of course, and Herters 401 Powermag. In fact, I have about three of these revolvers chambered for this round and I will be getting spare cylinders to have them rechambered for 38-40 and 40 S&W (401 Powermag is a hard round to find). I do have an OM Blackhawk being built up in 38-40 but plan on building it for an additional 40 S&W cylinder.  I am also a fan of the 41 Magnum and have several guns in this caliber, the Dan Wesson 741 being my favorite.  Best regards, CJ, bh38wcf.

CJ, Welcome to the forum!  Best of luck with your projects and getting to know the 10mm cartridge capabilities from them!  8)

Welcome!

Very nice, another wheel-gunner. The .401PM is a sweet cartridge. If you're a handloader and need brass, you can resize .41 Mag or cut down and resize .30-30 brass. Beware using lead bullets. With a .403" bore, you'll need upsized bullets. Jacketed .400" do well, though.
