Welcome The Earl o Sammich!

I see you're putting 3N38 to use in the 10mm.  You're the first I've come across here actively using it.  If you wouldn't mind adding your vote(s) for favorite 10mm powders here - http://10mm-firearms.com/reloading-10mm-ammo/poll-favorite-powder-for-10mm-auto-(up-to-2-can-be-chosen)/ - that would be great.  If not, that's fine too.

Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Well Red a favorite would imply that I've tried a number and like one best.  Truth is I've tried VV 3N37 and VV 3N38.  I started with the 3N37 just to get some ammo to shoot.  There was some data for that but than ran accross some .40 S&W data for 3N38.  So far it's working out good.  Fills the case pretty good and burns pretty complete and clean.  Next venture was going to be Blue Dot.

I see where you're coming from.  It will be interesting to see how 3N38 works out for your next planned loads.

All the Best,

MCQUADE

I've been here awhile and have not properly introduced myself. I live in the Uwharrie mountain's of central North Carolina. I grew up around special forces trainees (robin sage) and decided early on I would join the military. I started working when I was 12 at a sawmill( after school). I graduated high school in 86 and went straight into the U.S. Army. I spent 3 years overseas as a combat engineer. I got out in 89 and got a job at a close custody prison (maximum). I am still there. In 2004 we converted to female inmates, it has been hell since. I manage 2 units (200 inmates) due to cut backs (we have 5). I got my first gun in 76, a 22. I got my first handgun in 80, a 357 Blackhawk(I was 12 yrs old, wow).  I started with 10mm in 89 when I shot a Delta Elite, moved on, and now am totally satisfied with 3rd gen smiths. Been with the smith's since the mid 90's. I've got a great woman, a nice house and some land with an old pond, and I hope our garden does good.....I love this place and the 10mm Auto.

Hi everyone my name is Earl.  I'm from the great communist state of Illinois, Cook county Chicago to be exact, but now residing in Morton Grove, a suburb 10 minutes North of the City.  The town is infamous for starting the prohibition of possession of handguns here in the U.S.  But despite all the restrictions, I have been a gun enthusiast for over 20 years.  I have a small but modest collection of guns and rifles, but the mighty 10mm is by far my favorite handgun caliber.  I'm ecstatic that I found this site, and ready to learn from all of you.  I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this forum.

Hey, my name is Brian I live for now in the arm pit of america, NJ down the shore.

I make my living as a Registered Respiratory Therapist taking care of medically fragile kids that some are vent dependent with lots of issues.

My love of the 10mm started long ago but was one of the worst experiences I ever had with any kind of weapon. So after a lot of money and time
Put into that gun I gave up and traded it off.
I recently got back into the 10mm with the acquisition of a glock 20sf.  I added a KKM precision barrel and a 22 lb brass stacker stainless rod to round this one out.
I love the gun but just have to figure out why the gun wont feed the last round in the mag.  New followers and another new mag to see if that works out.  Then its time to change the springs.

Been married for almost 19 years to a great woman who likes to shoot with me.  Also when I had that early piece of crap 10mm that was her favorite gun of mine to shoot. Well when it did shoot.

Oh I am 43 almost 44  next month and have 1 beautiful daughter of 7 almost 8 years old that like to go to the club to shoot or watch her dad shoot.

Oh I also reload on my dilon xl650.

And the 445 supermag is right there with the 10mm as my favorite rounds.     If I had to say my 3 favorite rounds are the 445 supermag the 10mm and the 357 sig.
I love this place already.
