Welcome dhuchz!  Can't wait to see how the Caspian longslide turns out. 8)
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Guys all I can say is you are in the right place. But here is what you must do. You have to ask questions and you sometimes have to give an answer to us dummies. I am learning as much and as fast as possible about all things factory ammo. One thing is for sure with the 10mm. Not all things are created equal and not all things are as they seem. Just because it says 1275fps does not mean a thing. Look at the ammo chart. You will find Lite,Medium,Full and Nuclear powered ammo for your 10. Now you know how good the 10 really is to have.

Howdy!  I live in Houston and stumbled across this site while doing some digging on 10mm firearms and reloading in general.  I've been fascinated with 10mm pistols back when I first read about them in my Uncle's pistol magazines back when I was growing up, and now I am in a position to own one.

I just recently acquired a 10mm RIA 1911 to kick off my 10mm collection, and will be looking to get others.  This has also led me to begin down the path of reloading.  Not ready for that step just yet, but I have started the search for equipment.  I am looking forward to picking everyone's brain on the subject, since this will be my first foray into the reloading world...

The Earl o Sammich

Hey, New guy here.  Just got my Delta Elite back in October or so.  Carried a Sig P239 in .357 Sig before that, also stainless, still do when size matters otherwise it's the Colt.  I'm working up loads for it.  So far I'm up to 11.1 grains of VV 3N38 pushing a 165 grain Berry Heavy Platted Hollow Base out of a Starline Nickel plated case, ignited by a Federal Premium Match Large Pistol Primer at about 1238 fps.  Have three more loads at 11.3, 11.5 and 11.7 ready to go.  Hoping to get it to 1300 + fps.

I carried the Sig but always loved the full size 1911.  Have a couple of other Colt 1911s full size but wanted something stainless so I could carry while sweating and not have to worry about it.
Anyway hello.

Thanks guys.  I've been mic'ing the brass and I'm getting .005 over at the base from new.  Been pretty consistent from 9.7 grains where I started.
