Welcome to the forum aika!  Congrats on the G20!  Sounds like you have some fun times ahead.  I'll look forward to seeing the results. 8)

New guy here from Kansas.  I'm putting together a Glock 20 for general shooting fun and for hunting as well.  I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for the forum.  Thanks.

Welcome Sbeduckman!  Hard to beat a G20 for an all around workhorse that practically never lets you down.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Do you reload?
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Sorry I was so late to the party
Den S here
My Wife and I live in Northern Utah
You really gotta love the Gun Laws here
We moved from SoCal a few years back
Just could not deal with the Anti-Gun crowd there any longer
My Father introduced me to shooting when I was 3
He taught me to shoot his Winchester 72 Target using CBCap in the backyard
Then I graduated to a formal Range when I became of minimum age, which I believe was 8 or 10 (50 some odd years ago, it is hard to remember)
Shot my first Pistol around this same time
A Ruger Mk I belonging to my Grandfather
The first Firearm I actually purchased on my own was my Ruger Blackhawk 357 / 9mm Convertible as a gift to myself, for my HS Graduation
Stayed a Die Hard Wheel Gunner for a very long time and I still own several, all Rugers
I also own a handful of Long Guns and Shotguns
Have also been reloading all our Center Fire Rounds (less Shotshell and our PD Loads) for over thirty years now

Fell in love with the 10mm after seeing Sonny Crockett and his Bren Ten
I, in no way, could afford a Bren Ten
Looked at the Delta Elite
Still too much money
Knew better then to consider a S&W Semi in 10mm (who cares that the FBI was looking at them too)
So, I SETTLED for the Glock 20
Everybody swears how good the Glock is
Well, not me
I own that G20 for about a month
I took the Glock to the old Great Western Gun Show in Pomona, CA
Walked around with a sign on my Backpack advertizing the Glock
Got a few interested folk, but no real buyers
Saw a Delta here and there, but the Dealers wanted way too much and would not consider any trade with my G20
Came upon this one little booth
One table and a few Handguns layed out on it
The Guy asked about the Glock
I showed it to him and he asked how much and why I was selling a brand new Pistol
Since I wanted to come close to breaking even, it was a bit high for the Dealer
Then he asked if I would consider a bit of a trade ?
He said he had a Colt Delta, that it was new but no one seems interested in them anymore
He pulls out the ragged Outer Boxed Colt Case
Inside was a band new (Blued) Delta Gold Cup
Then he offered the Delta for the Glock and $100.00
Tell ya, I could not say SOLD fast enough
Here is my Delta Gold Cup (with a little work done) plus its 9mm and .22lr Series 80 Colt Conversion Units:

My next 10mm was the Witness Semi-Compact (my day to day CCW), to which I have added the 10mm Longslide and the .22lr Conversion Unit:

Next I will be looking into putting together a 10mm MechTech CCU for my DGC

Looking forward to reading all the great Posts here

Welcome to the party.  I read northern Utah, and had to check to profile.  You live about as far south of the Lehi Cabella's as I live north of it.

I think I see a meet-up to do some shooting at some point soon.  In fact, one of my common shooting spots is directly across Utah Lake from you.

Very cool
Have never shot over there, too far to drive around to it
I go to the south end of West Mountain or out Hobble Creeks Right Fork
Drop me a PM and we'll exchange info

Great you dumped the Glock! I hate them, but most owners love them....or at least they claim to. Don't want no brand of gun where the majority opinion is to get a 3rd party barrel if you shoot lots of cast lead reloads. Plus there is not ONE single model that feels good in my small short fingered hand. Too big around the grips and the grip angle just feels funny to me. That's why both of my 10mm pistols are 1911's.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Yeah, the Glock feels like trying to hit a Hardball with a Wiffleball Bat, while holding the fat end of the Bat
You can do it, but why would you when there's better equipment out there
PLUS the Grip Angle just doesn't feel right, at all
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Sort of feels like I am trying to shoot a brick with a piece of pipe running through it at a bad angle. But I'll quit before I PO too many Glock owners, there are a bunch here.

Hello. My name is Dave. I am a CNC controls tech. I picked up my first 10mm in 1996. It was a Delta Elite followed by a S&W 1076 a few months later.
