Howdy from Central Texas.   Member of Glock Talk too.  Bought G20 Gen 3 last fall.  Only factory ammo so far.   Tater head has helped me out and I will be reloading real soon.  165 GDHP with AA 9.  Been reloading over 25 years.  Enjoy reading and sharing experiences with the 10mm.  IM STUCK ON IT NOW!   Old 1911 45 has been put away except for range work.  The big Glock is handy on the ranch where hogs, dogs, cats, and snakes abound. I only have one question right now......
WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIGURE IT OUT??.?

Glad to be hear.

I'll probably be asking a few dumb questions in the reloading section. Thanks.

The only dumb thing would be not asking at all.  Welcome!

rvrrat14, Welcome to the forum.  Glad to have yet another Texan here.  Vice is also from Texas, probably a few others.  I was born in eastern Texas, but now live in the mountain west.

Hi Guys!

I heard of this forum over on GlockTalk.

I'm a member of several gun and knife forums as either "droid" or "10mm4me".

52 years old, 6 years in the Navy, been shooting rifles since I was 4 or 5 and pistols since I was 16 or 17.

Bought my first 10mm in 1987, a Colt Delta Elite for around $550 or so new. Carter's Country in Houston had a 12 month, interest free plan so I bought one. Missed out on the Bren 10, much to my chagrin.

I have more than made up for it in the years since, however.

I live in south Texas and go by Andy.

Nice to see so many others interested in the 10mm cartridge. I hope to exchange stories and recipes with you all!!!

Welcome!  Looking forward to the stories and recipes.

Greetings from Perth, Australia.

I know I am not the first international member but I hope my contributions help diversify the conversation.  I have no military or law enforcement background and have been a desk jocky for most of my career reaching the giddy heights of senior management in supply chain, currently in the mining industry.  Slowly diggin up Australia and selling it piece by piece to the Chinese  ::)

A long time rifle shooter in ISSF and varminting I have recently taken the plunge into target pistol shooting and have won our local club metallic silhoutte competition two years running. (It's a modified version out to 100meters max range) Doing this with my .38super has been no mean feat so I did a lot of research and settled on the 10mm auto as my next pistol. Sorry Revolvers don't cut it for me... so I ordered an STI Perfect Ten back in Oct 2011.

Those previous posts complaining about how hard it is to get guns in their state should be grateful for what they have as at today (12/07/2012) I still don't have my new pistol and have paid around US$3000 so far.  It arrived a month ago to my dealer and is waiting for police approval so estimate another 4 weeks before I get it.  :'(

The waiting is driving me nuts so  a big thanks to this site for occuping my time before it arrives !

Welcome!  Waiting that long after putting forward that much money (a lot for me), if I had a wife, I'ld expect she'ld be calling me grumpy too. ;)

Names Richard from Birmingham Alabama.
I currently own a Glock 29 and it's my only 10mm for now.

Great to have you on board Richard!  The G29 is a fine firearm.

My name is Bob and I am retired from 25 years of Emergency Medical Services and I'm looking to get a glock 20c, but the EAA Witness has also caught my eye. Decisions, decisions.

Welcome Bob!  Good luck with your decision.  Maybe you'll end up with both. 8)

Bob, great to have you here.

You can't go wrong with a Glock.  Sorry to say the reports on the EAA are not as positive.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 10mm on the Witness platform.  I have two of them in fact, and both have been good guns.  One is getting a face lift this weekend consisting of a new parkerizing and then a coat of Cerakote.

But, there are also plenty who have not had my experience.  I suggest if you want a Witness, ante up and go with something from the Elite line.  Elite Match or Elite Stock are both fabulous guns and are far more of a bargain than the standard full-size.

Glad to have you here and wish you luck with your purchase.  As Redline suggests, maybe get both!

New guy here from South FL, recently acquired a G20SF and my goodies from Dillon and Graf's just came in today, so tomorrow the fun starts. Not new to guns, not new to the net (Fire_Medic on a few boards), not new to reloading, but new to reloading 10MM. I owned a G29SF very briefly some time back but just didn't have the time to dedicate to the caliber so off it went. I decided to start with the full sized Glock 10MM this time, as I prefer the full size Glock grips. To date, the most fun I have had with a pistol at the range with friends screwing around was one of my buddies old G20 shooting 135gr Nosler loads down range. Hope to reproduce that memory in the near future.

:D
